I miss the previous narrator

I just have 1 thing to say to the narrator. When the writer writes “1x, 20x”
You don’t read the letter X!!! You change it to TIMES!!!!
Omfg! That really annoyed the hell out of me. Did you never have math classes?

Also when you’re used to the A+ grade quality of Todd Menessens who gives all his characters different voices and then you have to listen to someone who can’t even do a convincing red neck accent, idk,…
I really struggled through this book. The amount of times I suddenly realized that I hadn’t heard a word in the last hour happened way to often to be fine.
It happens with other books. But like once or twice in the entire book. Here I often had to restart the same chapter multiple times.
And not because of the story. The story is great. But this new narrator is not good. Only times that guy actually sounded like he was enjoying his job was when he was narrating a battle. For the rest 80% of the time it sounded like he didn’t care for the story whatsoever which really ruined the experience for me.
I’m actually really sad about this!

New narrator is good!

I’ve been going through these past few book as quickly as I can all in a row. And at first the new narration of this book was a bit jarring, of course. But I really recommend to keep going and try to listen to a few hours (especially the first few hours) straight and this new narrator will quickly become the new normal in your mind!👏.

Overall it was a great book and a great listen and I need them to hurry up with releasing the next one!!!

Odd Choices

Reader change on the 6th book is odd. Splitting the book into 2 part's seams like a blatant money grad. loved the other books not sure I'll bother with part 2

voice changes

Just got used to the last narrator and the different character voices. I liked this guy originally but the other narrator grew on me. The accents began to fit and now it feels like the characters sound wrong. Other than its all good.

it was good but

The book was good but splitting it into 2 is a shame. it's odd to have a new narrator so all the characters you know and love now sound different. apparently they are going to go back and change all of the old books with the new narrator so we'll see how that goes. But it will be nice to get a book narrated more often overall another fun time in the ten realms.

Although I did enjoy this book, I was disappointed

The story continues to be good. The fact that the book was half its usual length having been split into two parts was disappointing. I felt that I was just getting into it nicely when it ended. The choice to change narrator was confusing too. He worked well enough but it would have been so much better if the original narrator had continued. I was used to his intonation and voices etc.

Good story, would like the previous narrator back

Good story, nice continuation of the series. Disappointing they changed the narrator, I listened on 0.9 speed just to enjoy the book more, felt rushed

Why do this

Why did you have to change the narrator I I hate when they do this so much
