Summary
She’s looking for Mr. Right. I can offer her Mr. Right Now. That’s my specialty.
He’s my best friend’s older brother. He was also my teenage crush, and completely out of reach.
But we had our secrets—moments that nobody knew about.
I’d tucked them away in a safe place, and that’s where I’d planned to keep them. He’d moved to the city, and I’d moved on.
But now he was back in Honey Mountain for a few weeks and he’d found endless reasons to spend time with me.
What started out as rekindling our friendship turned into a different kind of…stroking the fire. No pun intended.
It was temporary. Just another secret that we’d keep between us.
Ledger Dane came with an expiration date. He’d always been one foot out the door. Why would this time be any different?

Charlotte and Ledger’s story
5 stars!! This is the third second chance from childhood friends/lovers book in this series and easily my favourite.
Charlotte was best friends with Ledger growing up until our damaged hero leaves everyone behind to go off to collage and become a successful architect. At some point Charlotte becomes best friends with Ledger’s younger sister and they’re reunited as best man and maid of honour at the sister’s wedding. Their attraction to each other is as strong as ever and after quite a bit of angst and personal healing/ growth they get their HEA.
Also the rehearsal dinner scene 🥵🥵 wooowwww

A sweet love story
It was a nice, easy listen like the previous books in the series. I’m invested in the characters but I do wish there was a little something extra in LP’s stories. The narration was good but it really highlighted the amount of unnecessary F-bombs written into the story. I have the mouth of a sailor but there are so many in LP’s books that they feel forced. As though they’re trying to add some spice? I’m not sure. Just a pet peeve, I guess.
