Worth the wait!

I was hoping that the Unbreakable Bonds Series would eventually come to audiobook when I learned that Ward Security was published on Audiobook last year, and it was so worth the wait!
The connection between friends, Lucas, Ashton (Snow), Rowe and Ian is a complex one but loyal one.
This story concentrates on Lucas, who due to some business dealings is in need of a bodyguard, enter Andrei. I loved the relationship between Lucas and Andrei and the sexual tension between them was HOT!
As I have read all the other books in this series I can honestly say they will be definitely on my auto buy on day of release.

Band of successful seeming cold-hearted males led by Lucas, have an ex military personal cadre, to protect each other and their lifestyles until Romanian Andre, the glitch in the machine shows them all the power of love by going "under cover/covers".

Well written, tense drama, well narrated.

Love this series 💜🧡💛💚💙

Still not quite sure about Kenneth Obi as a narrator. There were errors, the post production was fairly sloppy as his voice tended to be quite different when new pieces of narration were inserted into the original, but I really did like his Andrei voice although Lucas sounded as though he had a stick up his backside most of the time. Will need to listen to the audio for the other stories in the series when they come out...and come on, it's no hardship to listen to one of my fave series 😍. 4 stars from me.

4.5 stars from me. This one started off really slowly, and I did wonder whether I would get into it, but thank goodness, things picked up and I soon got wrapped up in the strong relationship between the 4 steadfast friends...Lucas, Ash, Rowe and Ian. When sexy and ostensibly straight bodyguard Andrei appeared on the scene, Lucas' world lit up whether he admitted it or not 😁.

There were quite a few typos, and the story would definitely have benefited from a beta reader/editor, and if you read the story carefully, one character stands out as being a little suspect cos he makes an appearance and then disappears, so you may have your bad guy there 😉.

Fantastic

I was already a fan of this series, the characters are fully rounded and so believable truly interesting. The plot is interesting and suspenseful against a background of a love story.

I felt that Ken really brought the characters to life, even the secondary character of Hollis who had a bad cold throughout this book and you could really hear it, the thick sound when you are congested. It blew me away that a narrator was able to so successfully pull that off.

An amazing book, amazing writers and amazing narrator, this book has it all

This is the first book in a new series, the story and characters are engaging and the narrator has very distinctive voices for each character, always a plus for me.

The first and best in the series (IMHO)

I so love the whole series but this is my favourite. Great suspense and story telling.

Another great narration by Kenneth Obi - one of my favourite readers!!
He does an AMAZING job at the voices! Lucas and Snow? OMG. Has to be 2 of the best voices this genre. So sexy sounding.

Loved listening to it - highly recommend the series

Good start to the series

I really enjoyed listening to this story, however I felt that at times the relationship between Lucas and Andrei was drawn out a bit to much. But the narration and the who is out to get Lucas kept me intrigued to the end.

I loved the relationship between the four men!!! The narration was good and as I said kept me going through the book and the characters voices were good and recognisable.

Shiver (Unbreakable Bonds Series Book 1) by Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott. I enjoyed this book A good start to the series. This story was well written with a lot of action. The characters will keep you entertained from beginning to end. I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series.
The Narrator Kenneth Obi did a fantastic job bringing these characters and story to life.

Wow, what great chemistry!

Lucas, rich, powerful, controlling, aloof, only has eyes for his ex-military buddies. His life is threatened over a real estate holding by a mysterious enemy so he is assigned bodyguard, Andrei, who puts his life on the line for Lucas. I really loved this even though the relationship bordered on instalove. Both men had hard exteriors which slowly got chipped away, and all the main characters felt real. The developing relationship, the action scenes and the dialogue were well-written and it all kept me fascinated and engaged. I’ll definitely seek out more of this series! 🎧 I received a free copy of the audiobook in tribute to the late Kenneth Obi and I thought he excelled himself with this story - great voicing, pacing and expression!
