Summary
Newly appointed CIA director Dr. Irene Kennedy is the target of an inside plot to destroy her and prematurely end the American President's term. To make matters worse, Saddam Hussein is close to entering the nuclear arms race - something Israel has vowed to stop. With the haunting specter of World War III looming, the president calls on his secret weapon: top counter-terrorism operative Mitch Rapp. But with only two weeks to take out the nukes, Rapp is up against a ticking clock - and impossible odds.

Good story poor narrator
It's amazing how much a narrator can affect the enjoyment of a story.
I've read most of Vince Flynn's books & have listened to all of his books on audible. George Guidall is definitely the best for these books, he's a really good narrator & I've got a lot of other books that he's narrated. The first 2 Mich Rapp books & Term Limits were narrated by Nick Sullivan who was ok, but Ken Kilban's narration is very grating

Good plot spoiled by awful narration
If you could sum up Separation of Power in three words, what would they be?
Could be better
Who was your favorite character and why?
Kennedy always seems to have that extra insight into the meanings of people's actions.
Would you be willing to try another one of Ken Kliban’s performances?
Will definitely avoid. Poor intonation, always seems as if a quiet statement is an argument. Dialogue perpetually ends on an upward inflection that I found initially irritating and eventually it spoiled the book. I won't listen to anything by this narrator again. Painful!

Flynn brilliant again
What made the experience of listening to Separation of Power the most enjoyable?
Another brilliant book in the Mitch Rapp Saga, following on nicely to others. Mitchs Character continues to develop and mature. Nice narration and great story. If you're a Rapp fan - this is another great book. Havent listened to a bad Vince Flynn book yet !
What other book might you compare Separation of Power to, and why?
One of the series of Rapp stories: Transfer of Power - Consent to kill
What about Ken Kilban’s performance did you like?
Good narration style.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No but gripping in places
Any additional comments?
Great Book.

Great story, poor story teller
I have been working my way through the Mitch Rapp series and the last two books have been excellent stories, I am currently up to chapter 5 and although there are a lot of recaps to the last book, the story is starting to get going.
Sadly the voice performer is distracting and annoying. There are dramatic pauses at the end of every single sentence and so the story does not flow, on occasion these pauses are before the end of the sentence as if the reader was surprised that a comma did not mean the end of a sentence.
It is almost unlistenable but sadly as it is a part of an ongoing story I feel I must press on. This means it is less a case of enjoying the story as willing it to end. Not a good experience!

Poor narration
I have enjoyed the series so far even with changing narrators, but it’s third change did not suit the genre at all. I found my self increasing irritated and had to stop a few chapters in. It’s a shame

Bit of a drag
I’m diligently working my way through Mitch Rapp series and must say first couple of books kept me on my toes in anticipation of Mitch’s next move but unfortunately the next few have turned into bit of a drag. Storyline, descriptions etc is getting longer and action shorter to my disappointment. I am going to give it another shot and read next book before I give up. Shame as I had very high hopes for this series.

Disappointed by the narrator
The story was interesting but the book was spoiled by the narrator's creepy totally unsuitable and off putting voice.

Love this Series, however
This was a rather disappointing book in the series, I found it a great difficulty to get through to the end.
It focused a lot on other characters, which is nice to grow there character but it wasn't as action packed

Not as good as the earlier Mitch Rapp stories.
The story included several bickering arguments that were tedious. The plot line was not as exciting as the earlier stories.
Narration made the Mitch Rapp character seem more irritable and less cool.
