Bland and predictable

I have never had to make myself finish a book before - trust me, 4 hours feels like a lifetime! if you want an amazing Celeb/civilian story the read "Cake", or slightly less amazing but still funny and entertaining "lick" by kylie Scott

3.5 Stars

This book was short and sweet. For the length, I was surprised at how much I liked the characters, usually I don't feel the connection in shorter books but in this one I did for sure. I did find this book to be a little on the unrealistic side or maybe even a little cheesy with his "secret". If the past was such a big deal to her that she goes into panic mode when faced with it then how is it possible she doesn't see it? I really liked Walker and how down to earth hes is. I also cheered on Madison when she stood up for herself, I love a strong female character. Their chemistry was sizzling too.

Erin Mallon was the reason I decided to check out this book. She is my FAVORITE narrator and because of her I have found a lot of hidden gems I probably wouldn't have tried with another narrator.

Didn't like it

The story seemed rushed and amateur. To me the storyline didn't make much sense and probably should have been longer.

Very Immature writing

Not very original or captivating. This felt like a story written by a teenager for teenagers. Very very bland. The story was not captivating, or sit on the edge of your seat, heart thumping, panty wetting scenes anywhere in it. I kept waiting to hear if the story would evolve into something more but it never happened.

Sorry

Worth a credit?👍🏻

Seeing Stars by J. Sterling is a sweet romance novel about a long lost love that finds its way back to the heart it once knew. Madison feels a spark with singing sensation, Walker Rhodes, but can’t quite figure out why he feels so familiar.

Erin Mallon gives another knock-out performance, so go ahead and use that credit.👍🏻 This one is a breath of fresh air!

Short and sweet except.........

Madison had way too many preconceived notions and insecurity. That been said I wish the story was longer I wanted more. Erin narration was great I love her male voice it's actually pretty hot.

Cute but not believable\realistic

Story was cute and I enjoyed listening but there were just way too many unbelievable points - what person even a teenager falls in love and doesn't know the other person's last name? why didn't he ask the owners of the house when they came back for her name and info? why didn't they have each other's addresses?
how on earth did she not recognize him before that when he first came on the music scene? just too many unbelievable unrealistic points in the plot.

Amusing but several plot line holes

This story is cute and amusing but as it progressed the plot line developed more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese and became irritating and unbelievable. I didn’t care for the character early on but maybe I just don’t like that LA lifestyle where people call each other “babe” when they don’t remember names instead of politely apologizing for forgetting someone. However, the character then redeems herself with her dedication to her work and strong set of ethics. I found the narrator to be rather monotonous. She sounded bored which may have contributed to my initial dislike of the character. I really stuck with the book until the end because it was short and almost over by the time my true annoyance became overwhelming. *Warning- spoilers ahead!* I am bad with faces but come on!??! The FMC doesn’t remember her first love? I don’t care that it’s been 10 years, it’s not like he had facial reconstructive surgery. And she must have seen his face in the media- at no point did she go “hmmm, he looks familiar, let me google his bio”. And did he change his last name? Did she never ask his middle name? Teenage girls are obnoxiously inquisitive about they’re crushes. I just don’t buy it. I don’t think the author bought it either as several chapters were spent with the FMC trying to justify her “bad with faces” claim. Just rough! If you’re looking for a quick, cute story and don’t mind a bit of a rough plot line then you won’t be disappointed.
