Summary

The third thrilling book in the increasingly popular Murderbot Diaries, which began with All Systems Red.

Sci-fi's favorite antisocial AI is back on a mission. The case against the too-big-to-fail GrayCris Corporation is floundering, and more importantly, authorities are beginning to ask more questions about where Dr. Mensah's SecUnit is.

And Murderbot would rather those questions went away. For good.

Martha Wells' Rogue Protocol is the third in the Murderbot Diaries series, starring a humanlike android who keeps getting sucked back into adventure after adventure, though it just wants to be left alone, away from humanity and small talk.

Listen to Rogue Protocol and find out why Hugo Award winner Ann Leckie wrote, "I love Murderbot!"

Enjoyable mix of action and drama

Characters are well developed and the inner monologue is quite entertaining. Looking forward to the next one.

Murderbot diaries just keep getting better

Great writing, great ‘voice acting’ and great characterization! Such a clever concept as well. Number 5 to listen to now!

series slowing down

loved the first two books but this one, while still fun, didn't seem to have any new ideas.

Great!

For a rogue SecUnit, MurderBot sure gets into too many situations were he has to to save the humans. Love the stories.

Action packed

The narrator is a great fit. I love murderbot’s more human traits.
In this adventure where he is still investigating he meets a different boy, a pet bot that’s treated like a friend by the humans. I liked the emotional content.

Not as good as the first two

Gets better during the last 1/3. The first 20 minutes is just recap, which is galling considering the price. The first two books are better. There isn't much new or original in this book.

Favorite so far

I missed Art but I Mickey made up for it in this book. Fun listen and surprisingly emotional.
