Story
From a very young age, Chloe Pierce was trained to look after the ones she loved. And she was trained by the best. But when the man who looked after her was no longer there, Chloe is cast adrift - just as the very foundation of her life crumbled to pieces. Then she runs into tall, lanky, unpretentious Judge Oakley, her exact opposite. She shops. He hikes. She drinks pink ladies. He drinks beer. She’s a city girl. He’s a mountain guy. Obviously, this means they have a blowout fight upon meeting. Their second encounter doesn’t go a lot better.

Summary
Roxie’s on the run from a bad boyfriend who will not catch the hint that it is o-v-e-r. She’s in no mood for love at first sight, but when her eyes fall on Hank, it’s trouble from the get-go. Roxie tries to hold Hank at arm's length but Hank wants to be a closer (as in, a lot closer). Roxie’s trouble catches up with her and Hank wants to help but Roxie knows in her heart that she’s no good for a white-hat guy. The problem is no one agrees with her, especially her crazy hippie best friend Annette or her parents; the even crazier small-Indiana-town Herb and Trish. Toss into the mix the gang from Rock Chick and Rock Chick Rescue and Roxie finds herself totally outnumbered.
Climb in for another Rock Chick wild ride through Rock Chick Redemption. As the odds stack up against Roxie, she has no choice but to hold on and just ride it out through the kidnappings, car chases, society parties, a riot at the strip club, Hank getting "Mom Bombed" and one crazy night at the Haunted House.
During all this Hank works at convincing her she really wants to stay and he, along with the Hot Bunch, go all out to make her safe. Hank also needs to work on showing Roxie that her past decisions don’t mean her future can’t include something as downright delicious as…normal.

One for the Rock Chick Fans
Really difficult review to write, because this is a great book. I read this series several years ago and loved most of them. But maybe I have moved on, or maybe just gotten older. I found Roxie was just a bit scatty, and could not understand the insta-love between her and Hank. Nor could I understand why she somehow thought the best way to get rid of her long term boyfriend was to dump him and then take him back, repeatedly. I know women get caught in toxic relationships, but Roxie was intelligent, financial independent, with no kids, so I found it hard to comprehend how long she tolerated her drug dealing boyfriend for so long, and why leaving him was a process that had taken years.

Too Stupid To Live
Romance novels require an ability to temporarily suspend reality in order to buy in to the story, we all know that. However, when I can't maintain that suspension and keep getting jolted by the absurdity, I become disengaged. In this case, the heroine is just too stupid to live! Even the stupidiest of the stupid would not have made the choices this silly chick made. The author just went for the easy set up to move the story line along, and, as it turns out, I've discovered I like my heroines to be brave and smart. Brave and foolish doesn't do it for me. The narrator did a good job, kept me engaged on a very long car drive.

Sweet, sweet Jesus!
Would you consider the audio edition of Rock Chick Redemption to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the print version, but I can't imagine it would be any better than the audio. It was ably performed and completely engaging.
What did you like best about this story?
Where to start?! Action, romance, tons of hilarity. I've gone through the Rock Chick series in order so far, so as of now, this one is definitely my favorite. The heroine wasn't nearly as annoying as Jet in Rock Chick Rescue, and though she was self-deprecating, it wasn't to the point of wanting to tear my hair out. She shares the same insecurities as a lot of women, yet maintains a confidence that the last heroine was sorely lacking.
All of the side characters in this installment were FANTASTIC! They were fully fleshed out and really added to the story. They were engaging without stealing focus from the main storyline.
The action wasn't quite as intense as the previous books for me, but I didn't mind it. If every book was laden with harrowing situations fraught with danger, it would begin to become old hat and expected. I think there was a good balance here, not to dark and dangerous, not to light and fluffy.
What about Susannah Jones’s performance did you like?
She was AMAZING! There were scenes with around 10 characters (probably more) and every single voice was distinct, the emotion of the delivery was right on point, and the pacing was perfect. I've enjoyed her other performances in the series as well as a few that she's done outside the Rock Chick books, and this one was my favorite so far. I think my favorite character was Roxie's mom, Trish, Susannah did a wonderful job with her characterization and delivery.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It was hilarious, I laughed so many times! Some chuckles and some real belly laughs, especially when Roxie's mom was around. Thankfully, unlike the last book, my reaction was NOT to toss my iPad across the room because the characters were making me nutty.

I liked this one, too, but . . .
Any additional comments?
I liked the twists and turns. It was somewhat unpredictable. I also liked the attraction between the H/h. That said, Roxie's continuing lack of faith in her relationship with Hank did wear a little thin after a while. Still, lots of action and good chemistry. I'll keep going with the series.

A woman that is a hard worker finds peace
Would you listen to Rock Chick Redemption again? Why?
It was a funny story and very intense at times but I don't know if I can listen to it again
What was one of the most memorable moments of Rock Chick Redemption?
Roxy telling Eddie she loved him
Have you listened to any of Susannah Jones’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Rock chick series
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes

Title "ROCK CHICK" threw me off but I am a big fan
I picked up this book on sale and kicked my own a** for not getting the other books with the sale. I am a Kristen Ashley fan for life. This author falls in the same type of character writing as Robyn Carr if you are a fan of her writing too. You find yourself drawn to the characters in the story but then you can't wait to read the story's of the others because the characters are so funny or quirky. I WILL read the entire series. Each book can be read as a stand alone but I promise you will not want to stop at one.

The Rock Chick series is a hoot to listen to. The story format is the same from book to book but the new one liners keep me laughing. The performance for the main characters is okay but it would be nice to have a little more variety when it come to supporting characters. Overall a great series.

What the heck girlfriend!
Would you try another book from Kristen Ashley and/or Susannah Jones?
Have every single one of them.
What did you like best about this story?
The girls having each other's back and the loyalty of all the characters
Which scene was your favorite?
The dinner introducing Jet to Eddie's family
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Only if they left out the "eeek" out! And made Jet stronger and less whimpy.
Any additional comments?
Seems if there is a strong man in the story (which there always is) the women associated with them are whimps and such air heads, very frustrating, All strong men seek the same in their women. Lee and Ally for instance........
