I really want to like this more.

The story continues but doesn't really advance. So far, it's a pretty surface level plot. My biggest issues are: 1. Author needs to remove 50% of the adverbs used with dialogue tags and 95% of "instantly." It sounds nitpicking, but the frequency and they way they are used is really jarring. 2. Once in the first book and twice in this book, an NPC gives him an item that saves the day shortly after he gets it. Well, that was convenient. Perhaps too convenient... 3. A few more contractions would help it sound less stilted.

All in all, still a decent story and narrating with an interesting MC. I'll continue listening to the series, and with my expectations now cemented, perhaps I won't be quite so critical with the follow up books.

Nice escapist story

the dungeon and dragons statistics which went on a bit and upset the rythm . The story was good some amusing pop culture references. The reader can not do a Scottish accent no he was good if you can forgive him that. The narrative picks you up and brings you along to strange places entertaining on whole

Fun book, narration not so great

This is a fun, lighthearted story and the narrator is overall not bad. Unfortunately the narrator's Scottish and Cockney (London) accent were so bad I had to stop listening.

This shouldn't be a problem for you if you don't live in the UK/aren't that familiar with these accents/don't care about that kind of thing.

One of the first litrpg's i actually like

it is a pretty good story, dont like the classes he chooses tho he pretty much a healer and support and gets killed all the time which kinda ruins it for me since it is hard to live in to something when he is legit immortal and not even good at what he does. Still im getting kinda hooked so will see If next one's better

New characters, same fun

A really good follow up to the first book. if youbliked that, then this isbabno brainer. Extra special complements for the character Jaxon, who is very funny and adds some extra smiles.

Great story

Joe and his craziness is absolutely brilliant. The amount of trouble he gets in at times is hilarious. His mom turning up in the game had me in stitches.

Yolo dabit pokiboi

Entirely enjoyable :)

Some truly wacky characters and plenty of jokes to keep me belly laughing while my coworkers ponder my sanity.

Onto the next book!

Good start but

I liked the idea that this was a video game but the story is rapidly going downhill. The main character started out as a nice if bland character thrilled at the new lease on life he is getting. Now he comes off as a spoiled child throwing a tantrum the second he doesn't get exactly what he wants. The story is also starting to seriously slow down. it's like the author doesn't know where he is going with this. At first I was going to give the narrator top marks but seriously, Scottish people don't talk like that.

We’ll written and preformed. Story line is entertaining and characters well thought out and presented.
