Summary
Features an audiobook exclusive interview: Suruthi and Hannah interview award-winning author Denise Mina on 'the less dead', equality and bigotry in crime, the justice system and the media.
The highly anticipated book from the UK's number one true-crime podcast, Redhanded!
What is it about killers, cults and cannibals that capture our imaginations even as they terrify and disturb us? How do we carefully consume these cases, and what can they teach us about what makes victims and their murderers our collective responsibility?
Redhanded rejects the outdated narrative of killers as monsters and that a victim 'was just in the wrong place at the wrong time'. Instead, it dissects the stories of killers in a way that challenges perceptions and asks the hard questions about society, gender, poverty, culture and even our politics.
With Bala and Maguire's trademark humour, research on real-life cases and unflinching analysis of what makes a criminal, the authors take you through the societal, behavioural and cultural drivers of the most extreme of human behaviour to find out once and for all: what makes a killer tick?

A phoenix risen from the ashes of Excalibur with true crime!
This audiobook can only be described as a phoenix that has risen from the ashes of excalibur.
It details, in full, the mathematics of the human mind, solves all the problems of the ages, gives six recipes for aphrodisiacs and plays the the mouth organ with one foot.
It also gives a very good insight into true crime written by two supreme spooky b*tches who have an excellent podcast and will make your life instantly better, just because of their and it’s existence.

Just brilliant!
I’m a huge fan of redhanded, I’ve also been to the live show in Dublin. This was some great stories plus a deeper dive into the why where and what the actual fuck! Loved it, thanks girls

Very Good!
Great book, very informative, insightful and funny! The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that a lot of the material has been covered on the podcast. If you have listened to every single podcast episode then there will be some repetition, but if not it is well worth a listen!

Brilliantly interesting
Brilliantly interesting, incredibly researched book delivered in a respectful but humorous manner. So glad Suruthi Bala and Hannah Maguire narrated the book themselves, it adds character to the book keeping it authenticly theirs.
I've binged most of it in one day!

Fun, Factual, Fabulous!
As a long time fan of their podcast, I was so excited when Hannah and Suruthi announced that they had written a book. I love that they have written this book as their funny, thoughtful and endearing selves, which is what I love about their podcast too, and I am so impressed at how well-researched and presented it is. I loved the additional audiobook extra as it was great to end on a laugh. So proud of you both, especially in this economy!

not horribly bad. not terribly good.
If you're already listening to the podcast, it's a bit pointless to buy the book. most of it is just talk about the cases they've already covered, and not a lot from a scientific point of view on the brains and minds of criminals. Most information covered is pretty much common knowledge, i was expecting more in depth analysis of the thought processes and personalities of criminals.
I would have also preferred less of their own opinions/ jokes on whatever criminal/crime was being covered.
The book is entertaining so if that's what you're after, go get it.
