Summary
Seven months ago, Mars Felicity Station stopped communicating. The crew of the Perihelion will soon find out why.
Something went wrong in the Mars Felicity Station. A gate to another reality was opened, and a mysterious alien plague threatens humanity.

Best since aliens
awesome aliens versus the thing in space best space space sci-fi book I've come across in years
pick this book up originally because of the narrator and Tom doesn't disappoint excellent throughout not quite yet to the end of the book still got three hours to go but hopefully the end doesn't let down and the next series is set on Earth well worth a token

Overall not a bad series
It’s ok, it’s a reworking of several good sci-fi idea’s. Presented as a multi book reading it works but I found you need to suspend all notions of belief in order to accept some of the descriptions. I found a few frustrating chapters where the reliance on certain things (such as atmosphere) was drummed home only to be totally forgotten in order to make a paragraph work later. At times there were so many characters and so many cut aways (telling the story from different characters at different times) to keep track of who was who and where they were.

All the best sci-fi movies combined!
This story is fantastic and a must for any real sci-fi lovers! Its not the most original and wonderfully predictable but in the best possible way. Really really enjoyable. I’m hooked and moving on to the next in the series. Highly recommend!

a bit predictable...but enjoyable!
An alien/zombie/cold war/science gone bad/apocalypse mash up. The beginning was a bit hard work, but once the heavy handed and not very interesting character introduction was out of the way it got a lot better. Yes, there are a lot of the familiar tropes here, but it's still a lot of fun.
