Summary

Everybody loves Pixie.

Everybody wants Pixie.

But Pixie needs a Daddy, and his heart is set on me.

I’m determined to resist him, for more reasons than I can count.

He’s too young for me. He’s my employee. And he’s everything I’ve been avoiding for half my life.

He’s vibrant. He’s sweet. He’s absolutely perfect, no matter how much I don’t want him to be.

I want nothing more than to take care of him, to protect him and pamper him...but how can I start something with him when I know I’ll eventually break his heart? Can I really be the Daddy Pixie needs?

Pixie is the fifth and last book in the Ballsy Boys Production series. It can be listened to as a stand-alone, but it’s more fun listening to the series in order.

Kenneth Obi was amazing

I love the Ballsy Boys series and Pixie was no exception. Phoenix and Neuhold capture the essence of Bear and Pixie perfectly. But Kenneth Obi's narration brought everybody to life, as he has the whole series. He will be missed.

Daddy bear and his boy

With the conclusion of the Ballsey Boys series and the main characters all paired up, it's up to Bear and Pixie to show us the age gap story. Bear grew up in the middle of the AIDS epidemic and when his then 18 year old boyfriend died he made him a promise that till this day he is still keeping. But to what cost. It almost makes him loose the love of his life. Luckily Pixie is not a quitter and goes after what his heart wants. The end has a nice twist which you will enjoy reading. Sad to see the end of this series, but both ladies promised us we will have some more of them in the future. As always Kenneth Obi is the perfect narrator who makes the story come alive and has the perfect daddy and innocent boy voices.

my favorite of the series

Despite Pixie being a parasite I would avoid like the plaque in Real Life, he kept being cute.

Pixie was totally adorbs!

4.5 Stars!!!

Okay, so full disclosure here, I haven't really read/listened to the other books in the series prior to listening to Pixie. *blushes* Yeah, I know, bad Mari, still, I really enjoyed this one and the glimpses of the other Ballsy Boys we got, are enough that I'll definitely be listening to those pretty soon.

I've been really intrigued by Pixie since Nora started posting teasers back when K.M. and her were writing the book, and I was intrigued how a relationship between Bear and sweet Pixie would go and I loved it for the most part. I was kind of annoyed at Bear for most of the book, because he was so set in his ways and so fixated on the whole age thing. I nearly gave up on him. I mean 5 hours of him pushing Pixie away? Not nice and almost a case of too little, too late, if it hadn't been for Travis's intervention.

Now, Pixie, I loved. He was totally adorbs and just perfect for Bear. For as much as he needed someone to take care of him, he was just what Bear needed to live again and not just survive. He was there to support and care for Bear in a different way than Bear was there for him. And frankly, I loved them together, at least after Bear finally came to his senses. ;)

Kenneth Obi did a great job with Bear and Pixie and the rest of the guys and Travis. I had so much fun with their meddling and with the story, which was more emotional (and had me bawling like a baby a few times) than I expected.

I can't recommend this one enough to all readers who love the Daddy/boy dynamics!

Another Great Ballsy

I really liked the story between Bear and Pixie! Bear was driving me nuts with how hot and cold he was. I can't believe he went as long as he did without trying to have a relationship with anyone.

I was getting a little annoyed that they called Pixie an imp as much as they did. Elf was a little better. :) The narration by Kenneth Obi was great! I loved Bear's deep voice and it was exactly as I expected. Great timing.

Daddy for a Pixie...

I’m sitting here staring at this little flashing line in Docs unsure of where I should even start this review. Pixie, by K.M. Neuhold and Nora Phoenix, is the last book in the Ballsy Boys series. I have to be straight with you guys, I’ve been putting off writing this review until the last minute. That has nothing to do with the book itself because it was great! It has to do with the fact that I’ve come to adore the entire series, and writing this review feels like I’m saying goodbye. Shut up! I’m not crying, you’re crying!

For me, this book was pretty different than what I’d expected. The main characters, Eli(Pixie) and Maxwell(Bear) were great but different from what I thought they would be. Throughout the series, we’ve seen bits and pieces of Pixie and Bear’s personalities. To me, Eli always came across as the adorable, affectionate, and put-together little bottom. Instead, we learn that he’s a little, nix that, a lot irresponsible and in desperate need of a Daddy to keep him in line. On the flip side, Maxwell is fairly similar to what I’d imagined. He needs a boy in his life, but there are issues that prevent him from pursuing that sort of relationship earnestly. I didn’t expect his hang-ups to be so heartbreaking or for it to take so long for him to figure out what he was really afraid of.

I know it’s never good to assume things. I’ll be honest with you though, I was sure that Eli and Maxwell’s book was going to be a lighthearted read where a boy in need of a Daddy found exactly that, a Daddy. Instead, while reading/listening to this book I was totally floored by how deeply emotional it was. I won’t say that it was heavy with angst, but there’s a lot that will kick you right in the feels while you read their story. Now, don’t go thinking I didn’t love this book or that it let me down. You’d be so very wrong in thinking that. Pixie’s story was fantastic! It just had so much going on, and to be honest, I feel that it gave this book more depth than a lighthearted plotline would have which, in my opinion, made it better than expected.

We learn about Pixie’s life before moving to L.A., how he’d been a Boy to a previous Daddy that he loved but wasn’t in love with. We get a chance to learn about the tear-jerking past of Bear and why he’s not willing to start a relationship with Pixie despite the fact that he’s attracted to him. There are a couple of characters introduced that really help to bring the story together. Freddie and Travis play a HUGE part in how things turn out throughout this plot. We also get to meet a guy named Ryan, Travis’ best friend, and I sort of want to punch him in the nuts. But, ya know, you can’t love every character now, can you?

The narrator, Kenneth Obi, did a wonderful job with this book, just like he did with the other four. I enjoyed reading the ebook, but Ken really brought the story to life with his reading. I believe he does such a good job of giving each character a voice that really helps to distinguish each person. He also does a lovely job of really making you feel what the characters are feeling or making you feel the emotions in a scene.

As always, the writing was done beautifully. I’m not perfect when it comes to catching mistakes with composition. I can say that while reading the book I didn’t find anything noticeable that pulled me out of the story. Nora and Kyleen(K.M) did a fantastic job with this story. I’m super stoked that they have a spin-off with the Cocky Boys series.

To sum up this review I will say that I really, really enjoyed both listening and reading this book. Was the story what I was originally expecting book five to be? Nope. Was I disappointed by the story Kyleen and Nora published for Pixie? Not in the least. Would I recommend this book? Hell yes, I would! This story was great! If you like anything by K.M. Neuhold, Nora Phoenix, Kenneth Obi, and/or the previous Ballsy Boys books I would highly recommend finishing this series off with Pixie’s story.

Perfect story for Pixie and Bear <3

It's the book all Ballsy Boys fans have been waiting for and damn it was worth the wait!
Pixie and Bear fully done justice by Kyleen and Nora in this fifth book of the series. It's everything I could have wanted and more with readers having the chance to learn more about both men, their history's, interactions and what becomes of the two men and their undeniable attraction.
One of the best things is that we actually start in this book where Pixie was first hired which happened in book one, Rebel. We follow their relationship as things happen across the series and I find it fascinating reading scenes I've read before but from different perspectives.
My heart broke for both mean on occasion with what they experience, in the past and currently and as it says in the blurb, Pixie really does need the care of a Daddy. Everyone but Bear can see how them being together would be best but he is stubborn and standing by a promise he made.
Kyleen and Nora have given us such a fantastic and lovable group of men to learn and adore. This series is definitely a favourite and Pixie is absolutely the icing on the cake.
Cannot recommend this book and the series enough. I would say to read in order but it can be read as a standalone if wanted.
The narration provided by Kenneth Obi is absolutely perfect! Everything comes across just as it should, full of emotion, tension and sexual chemistry. There is one or two scenes that should come with a warning as it's not a good look to be out, walking the dog whilst crying..... So worth it though! Bear's voice is just gruff enough and Pixie couldn't sound more innocent except for his giggles and when trying to get his way with Bear.

Awww... Pixie!

It's bittersweet with this one. Sweet, because Pixie has always appeared to be sweet and light, until we got to know him more and know of his struggles. What a resilient one! And oh Bear, thank good heavens you got out of your own way and got schooled. Their happy ending has been a long time coming!

This book is heartwarming, it's going to make you feel, it's going to frustrated you, but it's also sweet and sexy!

Kenneth was able to convey all the characters' emotions and then some. Excellent job!

Incredible.

This was one of my favorite BB stories and to hear it come to life was perfection. The voices of the characters were exactly how I envisioned and the emotion of this story was captured so well! The story itself, the small town Pixie trying to make it in the city, Bear struggling with his past and attraction, all of it was just SO good. A must read for sure! All of the stars!!

Oh how I loved Bear!

This is book five in the Ballsy Boys series but I think after you read Rebel Book one, you can read out of order as they seem to run simultaneously and not consecutively, which I found I liked a lot. I read books 1, 4 and 5 and enjoyed them all.
Pixie was my favorite in the series though I did enjoy each couple. I did fall for sweet but impish Pixie in book one when he was introduced and looked forward to his story. But it was Bear that stole the book for me.
Bear is in his 40's Pixie in his 20's and Bear doesn't mess with his employees as a good employer, especially in his line of work, should. BUT Pixie ticks all his boxes except the age difference. Bear is strong, real and honorable and I love that about him and his past really adds a special touch of angst too. He volunteers at a place that is going to grab you by the feels so much and toward the end, Travis's letter to Bear will make you cry.
So if you like Age gap, size difference, Daddy kink(it is so light that I even didn't mind it), boss/coworker, hot Manlove and a perfect HFN conclusion to a series then this is definitely for you.
Now If you can get the audio. The narration is spot on. Bear's voice is perfect and gruff but sweet. Pixie is just that it has just the right amount of mischief and the acting is great. Kenneth yawns when its a yawn, says when its a sigh exclaims and moans and groans you get the picture. It made the book so much more enjoyable and my chores just flew by!

Last books of the Ballsy boys with a flirt with Kinky boys

I don’t know why I didn’t leave a review the first time I listened to the book but I think it was even better this time.
I love both Bear and Pixie even if they not always make the right decisions... (if they did it would’ve been a very short story 😄). But the way we get to know those guys through the whole series and now especially in this book make is beautiful and respectful. Another sweet and sexy story delivered by those authors!
And Kenneth doing those two (and ALL) voices is incredible! The world is less without him ❤️

Ok.

This book was a bit outside my comfort zone. Probably nothing wrong with it, but I found it stressful.
And maybe a young voice like Pixie would done better with a different narrator. But all over a ok listen.

When a Bear meets a Pixie

Plot: May/Dec, Daddy/boy

Feels: Angst, Heartbreak (awww Travis T_T), Heat

Drama: Not the annoying kind, but the realistic kind that explains what made Bear the way he is.

Heat: 4/5

Characters: All likable

Pacing: Medium

Length: Normal

Ending: Sniff...perfect end to the series, an epilogue that does justice to all five sets of MCs and a teaser for the next series.

Performance: Kenneth Obi does a yummy Bear - low, sexy, growly...mmm! Then transforms 180° into a cute, sweet and sassy Pixie. The final "scene"...HAWT!
