About this listen

One dragon. One wolf. And they're both alphas. Surely Fate must’ve messed up.

After spending the last 200 years locked up in the family castle with his three younger brothers, Erwan is climbing the walls. Literally. He’s a dragon who isn’t allowed to fly, forbidden to use his magic, all to stay hidden from the rest of the world. How will he ever find his mate like this?

But when he finds an injured omega in the woods around the castle and brings him home, the spell that kept them hidden is broken. Erwan’s father is furious—not that that’s anything new. The man has basically been angry all Erwan’s life, though why, he doesn’t know.

When wolf pack alpha Rhene comes a-knocking to demand the omega back, Erwan is shocked by what Fate whispers in his ear. Then again, the same is true for Rhene. Neither one of them imagined their mate quite like this.

Two alphas? A dragon and a wolf? How on earth could that possibly work?

But they have bigger problems. It turns out Erwan’s father is hiding more than a surly attitude. Much more. Like an old connection with the wolves and a betrayal that runs so deep, it could tear Erwan and Rhene apart.

Dragon’s Mate is the first book in the Irresistible Dragons series. This is a spin-off from the Irresistible Omegas series, but you don’t need to have listened to that to enjoy these two as they find their way into love. The love story ends with an HEA, but the suspense plot will continue in the next book.

Great to be back in the Irresistible world

I am a huge fan of Nora's Irressistable Omega's series and am excited to see how that world continues by expanding to include dragons.
I felt this book was more setting up for the rest of the series but it gives us a new world to explore, whilst getting to know old and new characters. Rhene is known from the IO series and has been given his own pack to govern. When it comes to rescuing a pack member and coming across a castle never seen before, well, what comes next is from the myths and legends. Erwan is a dragon that has been limited by his father, the king, and his uncle but upon meeting Rhene things start to change and you can feel his confidence grow as another shows belief in and care for him. Living two hundred years in secret must have been hard and he also sounds quite lonely, even though he's had his mother and brothers around as well. A huge secret from their past is revealed that may impact their future, both individually and together, and the two wolf packs have to decide on their future path.
Rhene and Erwan together are equally adorable and hot. Both alphas which is a shock to Erwan but something Rhene has seen before. It's good how much the two talk, both about the situation they find themselves in and their relationship. It's a huge step for both men but when it comes to fated mates, it's undeniable, even with it being between two different shifter species.
This is such a great start to the new series, weaving the old and new together seamlessly and I can't wait to see how things develop as Erwan's father and uncle sound slightly mad so that can only lead to chaos.
John Solo's narration is perfect for this, bringing the character personalities and relationships to life whilst balancing that with the gravity of the history that comes to light.

New blood to revive the series!

I confess that I was getting a little bored near the end of Irrisistible Omegas series but the introduction of the Dragons has totally sparked new excitement. It's the best of both worlds - a whole new set of characters, backstories, cultural norms and history with all my favourite old characters and a massive plot twist. I can't wait for Book 2 now!

Amazing New Series! Brilliant Story & Narration🎧

Nora Phoenix’s “Irresistible Omegas” series was brilliant, and I was sad when it ended, but she lifted my spirits when she announced that there would be a spinoff and we were getting more in this amazing world she created, more amazing characters and storylines and dragons too. The world building continues in this book of the series, the Hayes pack had continued to grow, so they split off into another pack with Rhene Hightower as the pack alpha. When Riordan, one of their omegas, disappears, they go searching for him and what they stumble upon is quite surprising, a castle, and even more surprising how it is protected by magic. They tracked their omega to that location and Rhene gets past the magic thanks to Lidon, the true alpha. Rhene is not sure who or what these people are but they are not ordinary humans, at least one is friendly and helpful to him, Erwan, the one who rescued Riordan and the crown prince. Erwan’s over protective father, the king, has kept his family in isolation and away from the rest of the world for two hundred years. He is losing faith in his father and uncle and is wondering what is going on but rescuing the injured omega brings an alpha to his door and sheds a whole new light on things and it is time he finds out what is really going on, starting with what went on in the past. Fate has plans for these two and despite their differences, Erwan and Rhene hit it off and make a great team and it does not take long for them to realize there is something special between them. There is never a dull moment in this action packed, wonderfully written and cleverly plotted story, besides the romance between the two lead characters, this book lays the foundation for the rest of the series and some ongoing storylines, other characters and key players are introduced as well. I love how thorough Nora Phoenix is with her series and how she includes a character list and everything you need to know, so you never feel lost or like you missed something. This book is not a five star book, it is more like a ten star book. Thank you for another amazing story, I am looking forward to what comes next for these Irresistible Dragons and wolves too.

🎧📚🎧 And for the exceptional narration, John Solo did an amazing job bringing these characters and their story to life. He has a complete understanding of the characters he portrays, gives each a voice that fits the character’s persona, sounding believable in every role he plays. He sets the perfect tone for the story, handles the back-and-forth dialogue naturally and with ease. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures all the character’s emotions and projects them into his performance and has you feeling every single one. John Solo is an entertaining storyteller and a versatile voice artist, his narration enhances this outstanding story another level. Thank you for another brilliant listen.

Exceptional

So I'm guilty of not liking dragons and royalty and ancient history when books starts quoting AD time. This book converted me and that says alot. it was sweet and sexy and fun, with great plot.

I'm also guilty of being a Nora Phoenix virgin and even though names are dropped I didn't feel lost at all. It only gave me more books to look for. Did someone say foursome. Off to Amazon.

John outdid himself. I have only ever heard him do contemporary and he always gives his all with emotion and character distinction but this massive and eclectic cast was a whole other level. The many voices and accents and switching back and forth for all the characters. Well done sir.

a good start.

so, I loved this one. I've read the irresistible omegas books before reading this and I think you'll get more out of it if you have read them. it might get a bit overwhelming otherwise.
and what's not to like about dragons? I can't wait for the next book now because even though they to end up happy and together at the end, the story definitely isn't.

Very good character evolution and story.

I liked the sweet story and can't wait for the next part. It's a tender and sometimes hot love story, with a hint of mistery.

Love this series

I love this series. I was sad when the Irresistible Omegas ended but now with the Dragons spin off we can continue to enjoy life with the Hayes and Hightower packs. Nora Phoenix always weaves such fantastic worlds that I never want to leave. John Solo, as always, does a fantastic job of the narration.
