About this listen
Everyone is out of time....
Morag Murray is about to give birth to the Venislarn anti-Christ, and her baby is eager to be born. With only the possessed doll Steve the Destroyer to help her through her labors, she knows that when this child is born, the earth will face its final day.
Nina Seth is literally out of her own time. An evil sorceress is causing havoc in 18th-century England. With only Steve the Destroyer to help her prevent the premature end of the world, this clueless time-traveler has to save the past and find a way back to the present.
Vivian Grey is in hell - literally - and caught in a political conflict between warring Venislarn gods. With many human lives at stake, Vivian and Steve the Destroyer must join forces if they’re both to survive.
Rod Campbell knows that the world will end at midnight if he doesn’t rescue Morag from the secret organization that wants to use her as a pawn in its war against the Venislarn. The clock is ticking down to Judgement Day, and he hasn’t got a clue where she is.
One day and one night to save the world (again), and no one’s getting paid overtime.

Great read
This book continues to open the world of the consular mission staff and how they are trying to slow the end of the world with a unique humour. It's a great read and I would recommend starting with the first book and reading the series

Just brilliant!
After books one, two and three you really start to care about the characters especially Steve the destroyer.

Excellent
This is, unfortunately, the last book in this truly brilliant series. I can’t find fault with anything. The multitude of characters, all with different accents, the story and settings and, above all, the narration make for a really good listen. This series is meant for audio, there’s no way it can be appreciated if read. It’s definitely 5* but if I could give a higher score, it would be for the narrator. The best ever!

Less fun than previous three books
One again an excellent performance by Matthew Lloyd Davies. Great pace and annunciation.
I felt that there was less overt humour than the previous books. Much of the brilliantly funny observational jokes were of the intersection of mundane Birmingham and the hidden activities of extra-dimensional monster/gods.
This time some of the maguffin has been exposed for examination to the detriment of the story. Characters are dispersed across time and dimensions. I found my interest flagging.
