Summary

Promises, rules, bones; Erin Banks will break them all.

Unscrupulous and lethal, Erin has everything she needs to be an assassin in a world full of mobsters, monsters, and magic.

She wasn’t born with powers, but thanks to her Uncanny Ink - arcane tattoos that transform her body into a magic-fuelled killing machine - she’s more than a match for anyone dumb enough to stand between her and getting paid.

Fresh out of prison, Erin wastes no time getting back to what she does best: running down wanted men and claiming their bounties.

But when a powerful demon lurking in a black cathedral hires her to round up an errant soul, the creature offers a reward far more valuable than money....

He offers Erin the key to unlocking her tragic past. The key to the mystery surrounding her long-lost brother.

Magic, scares, and acid-tongued snark collide in this thrilling urban fantasy series set in the Uncanny Kingdom. Buried secrets and whiplash twists will keep you riding the edge of your seat. Listen to Uncanny Ink, Books 1-3 now for a pulse-pounding tale you won’t be able to put down.

This collection combines the first three books in the Uncanny Ink series:

Bad Soul

Bad Blood

Bad Justice

Very Enjoyable

I laughed out loud or smiled or cringed while listening to the book. Erin is such a real and believable character. No Disney style sugar-coated niceness. Strong and vulnerable as all of us.
Looking forward to listening to what comes next 😊

no

I forced myself to listen to this. I skipped through alot of it. The story and characters were flat. There's a lot of action but no real plot.

Attest fantasy w/snarky comebacks!

Uncanny Ink: Books 1-3
Uncanny Ink Collection, Book 1
By: David Bussell, M.V. Stott
Narrated by: Helena Little
I really enjoyed this snarky, fast paced, female assassin book where Erin is just a normal gal who gets tattoos that make her fast, strong and more. The three stories have demons and other creatures, magic, a mystery of who kidnapped her baby brother, and a love/hate relationship with a sexy assassin. I found myself snickering frequently from the silly, snarky, witty dialogue and descriptions. An enjoyable book despite the main characters being assasins.
Definitely will read more by these authors now!
Narration was terrific!

Im so glad I risked a credit. These books are so much fun!
Simply great writing and amazing narration.
Don't be fooled by the shorter recording time--it's worth the listen. Watch out though, you'll be hooked.

Uncanny Ink Delivers

I'm always on the look out for a good urban fantasy to sink into that has appealing characters, intense action, and fascinating magic. I'm happy to say these books deliver on all of that in spades.

Bad Soul, Bad Blood and Bad Justice are the first three (of six so far) in the Uncanny Ink series. Each story builds upon the next, but there's still a few mysteries left unanswered at their end and there are no cliff hangers to make you go on to the next. (I hate that in a series.) The adventure leaves you satisfied at its finish and wanting more.

But the best part of the stories is the main character, Erin Banks. She's a snarky, smart talking normal, covered in magically energizing tattoos that enable her to keep up with the supernaturals. She's also hilarious. Her sarcastic observations and exchanges with the various and sundry inhabitants of her world is worth the credit alone. But practically from the moment I started listening I was hooked because of Helene Little's outstanding narration.

So if you're looking for a non stop thrill ride from start to finish, The Uncanny Ink series is your answer. Each story may be short, but it packs a punch (no pun intended) and now you can get all three for one credit!! Good deal.
