About this listen

What if you almost missed the love of your life?

Nadia gets the 7.30 train every morning without fail. Well, except if she oversleeps or wakes up at her friend Emma’s after too much wine.

Daniel really does get the 7.30 train every morning, which is easy because he hasn’t been able to sleep properly since his dad died.

One morning, Nadia’s eye catches sight of a post in the daily paper:

To the cute girl with the coffee stains on her dress. I’m the guy who’s always standing near the doors.... Drink sometime?

So begins a not-quite-romance of near misses, true love and the power of the written word.

Includes a bonus Q&A between Laura Jane Williams and Carrie Hope Fletcher.

A No.1 e-book best seller, this wonderful will-they-won’t-they romance is perfect for those who loved Beth O’Leary’s The Flatshare and Mhairi McFarlane’s If I Never Met You.

Critic reviews

"LJ’s honesty and style are unique." (Stylist)

"A fresh, smart, modern rom com. This is romance seen through the wry eyes of a cynic, and that's what makes it so special – and, ultimately, so uplifting. It had me totally gripped." (Beth O’Leary, author of The Flatshare)

"Our Stop is everything I didn't know I needed in a book. Laura Jane Williams’ writing SEES you, and gives you so much. This is exactly the joyful escapism you need...." (Lucy Vine, author of Are We Nearly There Yet?)

Great, great summer read!

I loved the narration. Both Carrie and Felix’s narration was on point. But then again, I’m a bit biased because I love Carrie’s work.

I enjoyed the story. It was a really light story. The setting was perfect and there was no character I disliked. Hum, ok… Maybe Lorenzo at times but, after seeing his *imposed* growth towards the end, I became happier that he stopped being Daniel’s wingman, sidekick or whatever. I loved Romeo and Gabby’s personalities and Eddie’s down to earth approach.

They do take too long to meet. You have to wait and wait and wait a little more until the point that you start becoming just a tiny bit frustrated. As I’ve read before it is a lot like You’ve Got Mail but without the added drama of not-speaking-to-you-even-though-everyone-knows-I-will-in-the-end. Thankfully!

It’s a really quick read and amazing to help you get out of a slump.

great concept but overdone

I loved the idea of this book but half way through was struggling to continue. The missed connections thing was great to begin with but there were a few too many before the story moved on I did finish and found the conclusion of the story satisfying, so just that bit in the middle that was too repetitive an slow paced. Narration was good.

Excellent!

An excellent book, although I have to say that there were often times whilst listening that I felt it did go on a bit. But nonetheless, brilliant performances, excellent story and all around five stars.

Alright romcom

if you like romantic comedies (think Julia Roberts ,Hugh Grant), you'll probably like this. "literature" it isn't, but it's quite fun if you're into romantic escapism , and it's well read. If you like your books a bit more challenging, probably give it a miss.

A bit average

The whole book is based on “will they or won’t they” with little else to it, making the book feel long. The main character comes across as rather self absorbed and didn’t really take to her character. The narrators did an excellent job with the voices but there was not much else in the book that would make me want to find out what happened next.

Loved it

Loved this book, dry humour and romance. Great character relationships and I enjoy the journey of the storyline!

I think I will be looking for more book by the author!
