I’d have enjoyed the story much more if the whining voice of the narrator hadn’t made me want to throw the device out of the window

Whining voice of narrator

I really did not like the narration to such an extent that I had to give up on the story.

Thankfully it was free! Dreadful breathy narration. Might be a good story, I could not bear to listen.

First by the author, really enjoyable and excellently narrated. Well worth a read / listen. I'll definitely read more in the series

Was very good. The personalities were really well defined without silly voices. I liked the characters. The story wasn't gripping but it made me interested. I'd guessed who it was a while before the end but it didn't spoil it.

The narration

Sadly the narrators inability to leave a space when a subject changed within a chapter irritating.
Why include the trafficking of women and not complete or bring this line of enquiry to fruition?
Not impressed

Disappointing non conclusion of secondary story within main story

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters, storyline, area it was set. I really liked the narrator. I want to listen to some more books in this series, and I hope she will be narrating them also.
