Summary
Over the years, Pema Chödrön's books have offered an exciting new way of living: developing fearlessness, generosity, and compassion in all aspects of their lives. In No Time to Lose Pema invites listeners to venture further along the path of the "bodhisattva warrior", explaining in depth how we can awaken the softness of our hearts and develop true confidence amid the challenges of daily living.
Pema reveals the traditional Buddhist teachings that guide her own life: those of The Way of the Bodhisattva (Bodhicharyavatara), a text written by the eighth-century sage Shantideva. This treasured Buddhist work is remarkably relevant for our times, describing the steps we can take to cultivate courage, caring, and joy - the keys to healing ourselves and our troubled world. Pema offers us a highly practical and engaging commentary on this essential text, explaining how its profound teachings can be applied to our daily lives.

A new favourite spiritual teacher
This is a wonderful book. It has a lot of meat on the bones, and quite a bit of detail, but it is insightful and engaging. I love Pema Chödrön and will pursue other books. The narrator is clear and pleasant to listen to. I am surprised how relevant "The Way of the Bodhisattva" was to me, the author brought it alive in relevance. I'm delightfully surprised.

Amazing... must read and read again
Well listen to and listen again. An amazing explanation. Would have preferred Pema Chödrön herself giving the performance as she brings her own unique way to the story. You can hear her voice coming through the reader but still love to hear Pema herself. A must read . Thank you Pema

Excellent!!
Great teachings, wonderfully translated and put into practical application by Pema Chodron.
I read a lot of criticism written about this narrator but I found that it was very easy for me to listen to; no issues at all with the narration.

Narrator sounds like a robot
I am usually a fan of all things Pema Chodron but this book is not narrated by her. The tone of the person reading it sounds artificial and I’m very disappointed and want to return it. It is in my opinion not anything I can listen to.

Wonderful narration and profound advice
I found the narration to be superb. Joanna Rotte’s pacing and enunciation is spot on and very much resembles many of the nuances of Pema Chödrön’s speech, if I may say so myself. So pleased with this audiobook commentary on Shantideva’s classic text, Bodhisattvacharyavatara. Well done, Pema and Joanna. I rejoice in your accomploshment.

Another lovable moment with Pema
I loved Pema's take on ShantiDeva's work. Her insight is remarkable and I appreciate her putting such deep material into layman's terms. The narration was brutal. She kept making everything sound so sinister. I kept expecting her to break out into a witch's cackle.
