Summary

These cases might prove to be West’s toughest yet....

Detective Garda Sergeant Mike West could do with a break. He’s had his fill of complicated cases and wants nothing more than to settle down with his fiancée. But life has a habit of getting in the way.... Two new cases come in: a hit and run where the family of the victim act suspiciously and a missing woman who is found dead from natural causes until the post-mortem suggests foul play. With an investigation into both cases going nowhere, the last thing West or his team need are further complications – they certainly don’t need human body parts turning up, but that’s what they get. Everybody avoids using the words...serial killer. With no motives, no clues and contradictory evidence, is West destined to fail this time?

No Easy Answer is a murder mystery with a touch of romance, set in the Dublin suburbs.

Great narrator

I have loved this series, best to listen to them in order. Narrator is fantastic. So sad this is the final book of the series.

Great series

Have now listened to all six that are available. Although about some violent/curious murders and crimes, the Garda Síochána characters have a very calming and likeable manner about them.
The narrator has a soothing tone and effortlessly portrays all who are involved.

I liked every book in that series. Having got used to the trialsand tribulations of the characters I will feel sad this was the last one!

it'd be quicker to say what didn't.

the banter and camaraderie between the characters is really good. but the quips about and by superintendent Morrison are priceless. loved it.

West and Andrews - thankfully less of Edel

6th in the series and the West/Andrews pairing has matured well. Thankfully less involvement or interfering from the tiresome Edel in this one, aside from a ridiculous decision she makes concerning a very expensive engagement ring - especially when your fiancé is a detective - a significant stretch of the imagination for anyone to behave this way (even Edel).

The murder mystery side was complex and well told, if confusing in parts, but Stephen Daly's narration is great.

Recommended - probably the best of this series, though it was a bit short.
