Classic Stephen Leather

Another thrilling Jack Nightingale thriller, an excellent tale well written and narrated by Paul.
Wish Jack would return to the UK signalling the return of his sidekick Jenny.

Nightingale is back

Stephen Leather brings his characters not just to life but brings you in as if you are living their lives. Like with the excellent Spider Shepard series. Jack Nightingale has grown his character and you live with him through each action thought adventure and fear. Written cleverly as always keeping you second guessing the other characters come into vivid focus on a dark exciting journey to a mind bending climax. Why no one has picked both Spider Shepard series and Jack Nightingale series for TV or film is beyond me. 10 of each on Sky 1 would be a great start. Steve L

Nightingale Continues!

After the completely daft decision by Stephen Leather's UK publishers not to continue with the Jack Nightingale series, the author has switched the action to the USA and self-published, so fans of Jack can continue to enjoy his unique approach to murder and demons.
To be fair, the story is not as complex as some of the others in the series but well told and wonderfully narrated by Paul Thornley. Mr Thornley seems to be Marmite as a narrator; as you can tell I enjoy his narration very much. His New York accent is terrific and as ever, he has Jack well defined. So in summary, good but not great, enjoyable but not demanding. Just the thing for a few hours in a motorway jam.

Another great book in the series...

An excellent reading by Paul Thornley, and another great Jack Nightingale story. Proserpine and Jack? Their relationship is becoming more involved...and more mysterious. I can't wait for the next installment.
