Summary

From former Green Beret and USA Today best-selling author Jason Kasper

David Rivers chases an elusive narco-assassin through the jungles of Colombia in this explosive assassination thriller....

Former FARC revolutionary Sofia Lozano has become the world’s most cunning assassin, and now she’s selling her services to the highest bidder. But when the CIA learns that Sofia’s newest client is an international terrorist syndicate with plans to kill countless civilians, her name is placed on David Rivers’ kill list.

As David and his team track the elusive operative from Colombia’s triple canopy jungles to its Pacific mangrove swamps, his team stumbles onto a larger conspiracy: a narco-sub loaded with cocaine and evidence of a terrorist attack-in-progress.

Faced with a lethal web of drug trafficking, terrorism, and political corruption, David and team must eliminate Sofia before she can complete her deadly plan. And a single mistake could cost them thousands of lives....

Another cracker

Brilliantly read and written, what I love about this series is the whole character set. They are all so well built that I have a have such a clear mental picture of the whole squad that if they ever went to film the full series, I fear the casting.
I hope we can explore more about the other main characters back stories in future novels.
Hurry up number 5.m and thanks from a true fan based on the UK.

A dark and gritty thriller!

This fourth book in the Shadow Strike series is without a doubt the best yet! While the action is near non-stop, the downtime the team experiences between engagements makes it one of the most realistic stories of this genre I’ve read. This episode provides more than a glimpse in how far the team is willing to go to meet their mission – sometimes the grey zone gets stretched to an almost breaking point. If you have read the previous books in this series this is a must read. If you are new to the series, do yourself a favor, pick up a copy of The Enemies of my country and settle in for what will become an addicting journey.

If you are familiar with the David Rivers series, you know they are action intensive, however until you experience these stories with Corey M. Snow narrating them you have lived a sheltered existence. The way he brings each of the characters to life is amazing, you can feel each of their individual personalities shining through his words. Furthermore, Corey’s ability to do justice to the action sequences in these books is amazing – being anchored to my chair is an understatement, holding your breath as the action unfolds is the norm. While reading books is great fun, listening to Corey narrate them is the next level of enjoyment. Thanks to Severn River Publishing for providing me with an audiobook review copy of Narco Assassins.

Awesome series!

I love this band of degenerate hero’s! These guys are hilarious and bad asses that get the job done, eventually.

Boring

A minutia filled treasure hunt through cartel country in pursuit of an infamous narco queen assassiness who did something deadly or other to earn special high priority attention from the force--ending in a cliffhanger designed to do nothing but tease the next book--which I'm not sure I'll even spend the credit on. I think this series has turned into little more than a money pump with an overly complex mechanism.

Oh, yeah, and what happened to David's wife and daughter? Not even a mention.

Great read but the first book was still the best.

Great characters and team that seem to work well together. Each character has their own personality and flaws that carry the story and keep it interesting.
My only complaint is that the books after the first lack the depth that was shown in the first. David Rivers has a family and a daughter that he fights for and that didn’t know about his life as an assassin. After the first book there hasn’t been a single sentence mentioning his family or life outside of the CIA.
Still a good read that I enjoyed.

4.5 Stars 🌟

I seem to forget how much I enjoy this series between books. I saw that a new book was out and remembered that I had liked the prior books so I was eager to jump back in.

This book has David Rogers and his gang of 5 in Columbia with a new and difficult assignment. Their group within the CIA Special Branch Division is still a hairsbreadth away from being disbanded and the people at headquarters seem to try to hogtie these guys whenever possible.

The plot is interesting and takes us from Columbia to Venezuela. The group of guys continues to each be characters with their own individual traits and characteristics. I like each and every one of them.

The book ends- not necessarily in a cliff hanger - but in a way that lets us know that the story is not over. I'm looking forward to the next installment.....
