The stories are really well written and the narrator does a really good job with all the characterisations.
I fell in love with every one of the characters and the Author brought them all to life with the tales that he wove.
I am truly hoping that there are going to be more stories in this Series recorded for Audible as I will be one of the first in line for the next book that’s for sure!!
The only disappointment I had was with Book 3.5, a Novella, which was half of the listening time but, cost the same price as a full book!
It needed to be listened to in order for Book 4 to make sense but I felt as if the Agent talked about was just trying to make extra money out of me and it would have been so much more generous to add the extra stories into the full book....especially as whoever was reading the Series would have been buying every book....it would have been a nice bonus for fans of the Series.

⤐ Overall.
At this point in literary history, there hasn't been a love story that's not been told in some way or another. What still makes Romance so great is the sweet, sweet song of the nightingale that starts humming inside of me as soon as I can get a first glimpse at that sparkle between the two love interests.
In the past, I was occasionally put off by the unnecessarily cruel behaviour of the Midnight pack males. I would really love for the softer side of men to take up more space in the Romance world. It does not make you less of a man / strong / desirable / insert stigma here to admit you're hurt or insecure and there's more coping mechanisms than running off or barking insults and humiliate your potential SO. Communication is said to work wonders and it doesn't have to negotiate the arch of suspense. This, of course, does not exclusively apply to (cishet) men.
I feel like Jaden's on a good way already since he gave up the asshole road quite quickly. I could really witness his change in attitude and way of thinking although I somehow wished his behaviour would reflect that better. (Says the person who's got a tough time articulate and show her feelings, lollzzz)
⤐ What’s happening.
Jaden's choice of a mate was taken from him brutally. Kidnapped and raped at the hands of a collector, he now finds himself stuck with a young feline shapeshifter as his eternal mate. Sky transfers from one form of imprisonment to another but wants nothing more than to protect her siblings from the cruel repercussions that will no doubt follow her flight from the collector. Neither means they will stay away from each other.

4 STARS. Would stay up beyond my typical hours to finish it. I found some minor details I didn't like, agree with or lacked in some kind but overall, this was enjoyable and extraordinary.
