Summary

Everyone dreams of reliving their life; we imagine what it might be be like to start over.

But when Gwen Song awakes in her 15-year-old body, she finds herself in a world of urban sorcery. Though the problems of her troubled childhood remain, the familiar society she once lived in has all but disappeared and has been replaced by a parallel reality....

Fun, long and interesting.

I loved this book and found it to be both filling, in the sense that it was very long, and fun to listen to.

Absolutely phenomenal

The story is beyond great with gorgeous descriptions and wonderful characters. I miss a bit more variation in the acting of the differenct characters from the narrator, but it's very minor and overall I'm VERY satisfied and can't wait for more Metaworld Chronicles!

Good story. Meh narration

Good story and characters. narrator seems to switch pronunciation of the same words often. eg grotto becomes grot then grotto again in the same few sentences.

Sexist to the bone

I'm sorry to give a bad review but i cannot finish this. I have 8 hours left but i cannot get over the amount of sexism that is thrown in my face. The moral of the story is girlpower and men are pigs.

Spoilers:
The main character is lazy in the beginning and makes her little brother make her food yet is annoyed that she has to do the dishes. Later on she has to control him from staring at girls.
Her father is seen in a bad light for wanting to remarry. Remarked as needing female validation. Later on he apologises for not being there to protect her even though he gave her an amulet that saved her life. She took the apology as "he's not really sorry, he just feels guilty" (yet another man in her life thats a pig)
Her uncle is... well not that good of a man, yet im yet to see a man in a good light.
Her cousin was a bit awkward and was somewhat made fun of him cuz of the way he talks.
Her grandfather is sexually abusing his workers.
Now imagine that this is just her own family. There are other incidents.
The story was intriguing and the narrator did a very good job yet i just couldnt bring myself to finish it. Every time it seemed to get good... "ew is that a man?"
