If your answer is "yes" to any of these questions, Master Your Confidence is the book for you. It will help you understand why the mental side of football is just as important as the physical side.

Summary
Finally! There is a mental-toughness book for young athletes!
Hey Parents,
Troy Horne here. Your mental-toughness guide! If you are reading this, you probably have a young athlete who struggles with in-game confidence and maybe even sports-performance anxiety. I am here to help parents understand how to help your young athlete navigate this mental-toughness journey. I know where you are, and I know how to help you help your young athlete find their mental toughness. I have purchased a lot of books about mental toughness in sports.
To be honest, most of the books that we read were not a good fit for young athletes because they were either created for adults or not created for youth athletes in competitive sports. There is a difference.
Parents! Since there wasn't anything out there for elite athletes, I did what every youth-sports parent does when they want to help their kid.
I took the long journey of ups and downs. I struggled to help my young athlete find his mental toughness. It was rough! However, luckily along the way, we found the winning formula, thanks to being able to talk with sports icons personally. We launched a podcast together, and on it we interviewed mental-toughness giants of sports like Chauncey Billups, Tywanna Smith, Keiko Yoshimine, Earl Boykins, Jason Richardson, and Kobe Bryant!
I studied what they did and said based on our interviews, and I came up with a mental-toughness plan that worked! I followed their journey and their advice. I wrote down what worked for my young athlete, and I put it in this book so that you would be able to skip a lot of the struggle and failure parts. No need for everyone to struggle right?
In this book, I am going to share with you what I learned from talking to NBA athletes, NFL athletes, EuroLeague athletes, college coaches, and college athletes as well.
- Does your child perform better in practice than they do in the game or when the "lights come on"?
- Do they seem like they are losing their love for the game?
- Do you want to help them?
If you answered yes to these questions, then you are in the right place. This book provides the answer that you have been looking for! I can say this with confidence because I have used everything that I am going to share with you in this book with my son, and it has worked.
What a blessing to get the keys to mental toughness straight from greats! I look forward to sharing what we've learned with you!
This stuff is a game-changer, and it's made specifically for young athletes!
Order now to improve your young athlete's mental-toughness level for good!

Exactly what I was looking for!
I’m not the type to write reviews so I will keep it brief. I have a 6 year old boy who plays soccer. I’m implementing the exercises described in this book and I’m seeing results!
One thing I would say is adapt the exercises to suit your child. Because my son is so young, some exercises were a bit too grown up for him. Example their is a chapter on getting your child to mediate. Instead of medicating I tell him to close his eyes for 10 seconds before his match, to get all the giggles out his system so he’s focused and in the zone to play soccer.

Poorly written, poorly performed
It doesn’t take long to realize this book is a rambling one way conversation designed to play upon every helicopter parent’s POV that their athlete is somehow destined for greatness if they can only learn to be mentally tough. As a nationally licensed youth coach, it takes a lot more.
While the book is geared for parents of elite middle school students, the written language is kept at a similar reading level.
Note: I wrote this before completing the entire book as I’m not sure I will be able to listen to the performance for the entire length.

The information in this book is a great way to get started looking at the mental aspect of sports for young athletes. I found this audio through the luck of advertisement. My daughter is a budding softball player and as her coach and most importantly father, I am constantly searching for ways to teach her to be purposeful and have an edge. If you can relate to Troy & Moses you will see the path and what it’s going to take. I realized this was not only a teaching for the children but a refresher to renew that spirit in yourself as well.
