Summary
What do you do when your fake engagement starts to feel too real?
Aspiring clothes designer Victoria Scott spends her days working in a bar in Chelsea and her evenings designing vintage clothes, dreaming of one day opening her own boutique. But these aspirations are under threat from the new department store opening at the end of her road. She needs a Christmas miracle, but one is not forthcoming.
Oliver Russell’s Christmas is not looking very festive right now. His family’s new London department store opening is behind schedule, and on top of that his interfering, if well-meaning, mother is pressing him to introduce his girlfriend to her. A girlfriend who does not exist. He needs a diversion. Something to keep his mother from interfering while he focuses on the business.
When Oliver meets Victoria, he offers a proposition: pretend to be his girlfriend at the opening of his store and he will provide an opportunity for Victoria to showcase her designs. But what starts as a business arrangement soon becomes something more tempting, as the fake relationship starts to feel very real. But when secrets in Victoria’s past are exposed, will Oliver walk away, or will they both follow their hearts and find what neither knew they were looking for?

What happened to the narration ? It's so choppy.
.Sorry, I love Toff but she cannot narrate for excuse the pun, toffee.
I am struggling to get into her new book as Toff is the narrator on that too.
I feel this audio has no flair.
The story itself is lovely.

Addictive chick flick
At first, I was somewhat confused as I wasn’t sure what to expect from Toff as a fictional author, although I have always relied on her reviews. I binged this in one day, an absolute dream to listen too. Totally heartwarming, and perfect to cheer up a gloomy day in lockdown. Can’t get Victoria and Oliver out of my head, and have already pre-ordered the next in the sequel!

Nice story awful narration
I persevered through this as it was a nice heartwarming story but the narration was really poor and should have been passed to a professional ad it really spoiled the audible experience

How to catch a billionaire
I think this was a really good attempt for Toffos first book. Pretty much a girly sickly sweet romance but it sort of was ok. Not my normal review genre but I couldn’t resist it.
Must say well done Toff. Keep it up 😊❤️. Well read as well 👍

A pleasure to read and to listen along with.
When Victoria and Oliver met two worlds literally collide together and changes their fate forever.
Victoria has suffered pain and guilt for years, she is almost content in her small corner of the world, with her close group of people, happy to avoid her ex and hide from the pain he caused her.
Oliver is not able to hide, he is the son of a famous businessman, and ensuring the family name and reputation is upheld is his job, even if his cousin is determined to do his best to ruin it.
When the two characters meet cracks start to show in their lives and when Oliver hatches a plan to spare his father's pain and get his mother off his back, Victoria agrees. But as with all good love stories, the best-laid plans are often upturned, and the fun begins.
It’s Christmas time in London, love is in the air and one fall could be the making of a love that can heal many wounds.
I'm so glad Georgia was able to read the book for the audio version, I'm not sure anyone else could have done it better and it was the perfect story to listen to on a cold, rainy Saturday as I was working overtime.
My thanks to #Netgalley, #Mills&Boon, and @GeorgiaToffolo for allowing to review a copy of #MeetMeInLondon

Dreadful narration
I wanted to like the story but the narrator destroys the experience. Had to stop listening half way through because it became too much.
Only realised later that its the actual author who reads it. Such a shame.
