Summary

An intriguing short M/M story from award-winning author Isobel Starling.

When Marcus' assistant, Kyle, neglects to send him the report he'd been waiting for and goes to lunch, Marcus has no option but to poke around on his errant employee's computer. He finds that his assistant spends more time browsing than working, and his favorite site is Undr, a website where men post covertly taken photos of hot men traveling on the London Underground.

Marcus is drawn to a photo of a man who was given the moniker "Java Joe". The man has a fanbase of gay men and straight women who take secret photos of him as he travels and upload them to the website, then discuss his attributes

Over the following weeks, Marcus becomes obsessed with seeing the next covertly taken image of the man. Heading for an earlier train one morning, Marcus happens upon none other than "Java Joe" in the flesh. Unable to prevent closeness on the packed morning train, Marcus and his man-crush get caught in a crush of bodies...and sparks fly.

Really really good

This was a great short story with some unexpectedly hot scenes and a realistic connection with the two guys. Furlong, as always, does a fantastic job.

Squeee

I adored this short story brought wonderfully to life by Gary Furlong. His narration is as natural as breathing and his comic timing is faultless.

Marcus goes from a pompous stuffed shirt to obsessive stalker to...well...more likeable. We don't know much about Nathan until close to the end, other than as an object of lust to countless London underground travellers, but he certainly has more in common with Marcus than is first apparent.

Well done for packing so much into this short listen. (It gained me my "done and dusted" badge!)

Short, sweet, and a bit naughty

It amazes me how Ms. Starling can squeeze such a good story into such a short format.
Man Crush is a super sweet contemporary story about longing, lust, and ogling hot men on the London Underground.
I had no idea until I Googled that the kind of websites mentioned in this short actually exists!
Gary Furlong did a great job making this short story even funnier than I remember when I read the ebook.
It may be short, but it's well worth it.

Going Underground was never hotter!

Gary Furlong and Isobel Starling are an instant buy for me. I couldn't stop laughing at Gary Furlong's performance in this book. He has such great comic timing that a book that I thought was good when I read the short ebook, became laugh-out-loud funny in his hands.
This was a super listen for an hour while lazing in the sun and I'd highly recommend it.
