Summary

Can two lovers from different centuries find a way to live together? Do they choose the past or the future, or is there a place in between?

Hilly Creighton never expected to find a man when she peered into a cave near Tombstone, Arizona. Clint Woodrow had no idea how he was pulled forward in time from 1881, and he has been trying to get back home ever since. He doesn’t realize that the cave is the answer - the cave and Hilly.

As the fates throw Hilly and Clint back to Tombstone’s wild and untamed early days, Hilly fights to survive, and Clint struggles to protect her against the harshness of life in the desert.

Old and New

I loved the narration of Michelle Babb, you feel the characters and place.

Clint is a miner in 1881 Tombstone, one day he hears a woman's voice calling to him , as he comes to the entrance, he sees a very different world than the Tombstone he knows. Hilly is in Arizona, visiting Tombstone for research for her next book.
Clint likes the 21st century; it's a lot more comfortable than the 19th.

Loved this story.

original and beautiful!

i enjoyed every minute of this. the narrator was absolutely brilliant, she manages to sound like a very strong woman from the modern days and in the same dialogue she plays a polite and super sweet cowboy from 1881. truly a great job there. the story is very sweet and clean (which is an absolute plus point for me). i cried, i am not going to lie. overall it was a smooth and pleasant listening.

Sweet Time-Travel

Caving Into You by Bess McBride is a sweet and clean listen. I loved the vivid descriptions the author wrote of the southwest. The characters of Hilly and Clint appealed to me. Michelle Babb was wonderful bringing the characters to life with her voice. She conveyed realistic emotions.. I fully enjoyed this listen.

Past and present meet but can they have a future

I really enjoyed this book. It is not the normal type of book I listen to but I must admit that the plot sounded good and I really like the narrator so I thought I would give it a try. Glad I did because it was interesting enough that it kept me hooked, wanting to find out what happens next. I loved listening to the past in the wild west, I guess that has a lot to do with growing up watching Westerns with my mum and it was easy to imagine John Wayne riding down main street on his horse that I kept waiting for him to turn up. I liked the characters and found there interactions with each other sweet. All in all this was a fun, sweet adventure in romance and the wild west. I am looking forward to starting the next book because time traveling for love has caught my imagination.
Hilly visiting her brother in Arizona can't help but stop do do some sight seeing where she comes across a cave that will change her life for ever. The wild west is no long just actor's re-enacting a shootout at the O.K Corral because if Hilly can't find away to get back to her time line then she might just become a part of history. Clint is part of that history but with Hilly discovering that cave it also changed his life for every because he got to experience the wonders of modern technology and love. Could he possible go back to the way things were? With or without Hilly?
I thought Michelle did an excellent job with the narration and helped capture both centuries really well with her unique and entertaining voice.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Time Travel & Romance

I happened to listen to book two A Home in Your Heart before this one and it was excellent. They are stand alone books and don't need to be heard in order.

Bess McBride's books are my first intro into time travel stories. Between her great writing and characters and Michelle Babb's excellent narration, they've got me hooked and I am looking forward to losing myself in more time travels books.

Michelle Babb does a great job of bringing the characters to life and making you feel as if you are right there in the story with them.

You can't go wrong with these books. I look forward to listening to more in the series.

I have listened to a lot of audiobooks, (over 500 in 2020 as they help me not focus on my constant back pain & help keep my PTSD anxiety attacks at bay), so a good narrator is an absolute must!

This is a book I would listen to again.

I was provided this audiobook at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review & I look forward to listening to more books by both the narrator & the author.

Time Travel

I was worried to learn that this was a “clean” romance but it was very good. I liked that the characters actually spent some time in the other time periods and had to learn to adapt. They were willing to change their lives for each other and do what they had to to stay together. I felt a bit anxious towards the end wondering if they’d be able to stay and get their HEA. Enjoyed everything about this.

A solid story for a romance enthusiast.

Honestly, I was curious about the story and well I’m not a fan of romance stories. That said though did like the time traveler aspect of it. I enjoy the crap out of those stories where the MC goes back or is shifted to another world. Just so happens the guy can get an out. Not gonna spoil it but hey if you enjoy both you’ll probably like it.

Cute Time Travel Romance

This was my first experience with Bess McBride's work, and I enjoyed it. The story was a charming romance about a man from history that was pulled from the past by the voice of a contemporary woman. Once they met, Clint couldn't explain about his past as who would believe that he was from the year 1881. I enjoyed the tale. I'm looking forward to more from this author. Michelle Babb's narration was great, and her performance enhanced an entertaining story. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Sweet time travel romance in Tombstone, AZ

This time travel romance is completely charming. It is sweet (just kissing), and it is suitable for teens and adults. This author was new to me, but the story completely swept me away. I couldn’t wait to get back to listening to this wonderful 6-hour romance every time real life got in the way of my listening. This was the first time that I have experienced a book by Bess McBride, and she really impressed me with her captivating writing style and lovable characters.

One aspect of the story that I thought was totally original was the hero being brought forward in time and living there six months before he met the heroine. I also thought it was brilliantly ironic that the hero Clint got hired to work in a historical reenactment show. These charming story choices are just a small taste of the surprising writing choices that really made this book unique. I will definitely read more from Bess McBride.

The narrator Michelle Babb did a marvelous job. She is equally skilled at male and female voices. She made every character sound distinctive and lively. She is excellent at emoting, pacing, dialogue, and everything. Since the hero Clint was from Iowa and moved to Arizona as an adult, her Midwestern accent for him sounded just right. Michelle Babb really brought this romance to life.

I requested and received a free copy from the narrator, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Fun Time Travel Western

Loved this light, time travel Western novel where blocked romance novelist meets time travelling minor in Tombstone AZ. I am required by my state of birth to love the hero, a caring, college educated Iowan who went west in 1880 to make it rich by mining. One of the best parts of the novel is the modern heroine struggling with every day life issues like food safety, wearing jeans, etc.

A wonderful trip through time

Hilly is a writer from the 21st century who finds herself in the 1800s, in Tombstone, Arizona by virtue of a fall into a cave. She makes her way to the re-enactment of the famous shoot-out at the OK Corral where she spots one of the actors who calls to her. He recognizes her voice as the one who called to him in the cave. Their voices brought them together in the past and they know this is their destiny. But will they be able to stay together and In which time period? This is a delightful time-travel romance that proves that true love is timeless.
The narration, by Michelle Babb, is excellent with her clear and dynamic interpretation of the characters.

A New Twist On Love

Really enjoyed this book. It is well written and performed. While I am not real keen on strictly romance novels. This plot was different. A sweet romance you could just sit back, relax and enjoy. The narrator did a superb job and always does. I recommend this book.
