Highly recommend

This book was absolutely fantastic. I couldn’t put it up. With just enough twists and turns that you don’t see coming I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes books about friendship, relationships, family, and drama.

So intense- there was so much passion and emotion

So much angst! Make Me Hate You was so intense- there was so much passion and emotion.

"It's you who brings me pain. It's you who is killing me. It's you, and us," I added, motioning between us. "It's this thing that never was, but always is, that never will be and will never not be."

Like that quote right there- emotional perfection. I felt Tyler and Jasmine's pain. The story is told only from Jasmine's POV, but it's easy to feel Tyler's anguish and heartache too. Make Me Hate You was real and raw and a story I just couldn't put down.

Narrator Holly Warren was new to me, but she did an excellent job. I will definitely be checking out her other performances.

5 Well-Deserved Stars

I am normally not a fan of 1-narrator books. I like hearing the distinction between voices. However, I couldn’t stop listening to this one. I originally read this book first and then listened to the audible. I was able to enjoy the audible so much more that way. The story itself is a great one. I love the back and forth between Tyler and Jasmine. Their past…. Their present…. And their future. This book had me on a rollercoaster of emotions. A lot of ups, downs…. Anger, laughter, sadness. Ultimately…. The angst is the good kind.

Absolutely phenomenal!!!

This was my first ever audiobook. I was very skeptical about whether I would ever enjoy listening to one because I'm very visual and wasn't sure if I'd just end up daydreaming. Well, I'm mad at myself for waiting this long because I loved it and it was an amazing experince. Firstly, I loved Holly's voice, it was soothing and made for very easy listening. Secondly, I have read this book, so although I knew exactly what was going to happen, this was a completely new and exhilarating experince! The feelings this book brought out of me from listening to all these amazing scenes. The goosebumps I got from every experince Jasmine had with Tyler. Just unbelievable. I already loved this book, it is easily one of my top Kandi books and I think I just fell in love with it more! Pure perfection! The angst, the heartbreak, the longing, everything was brought out more through this audiobook. I loved every second and cannot wait to invest in another Kandi audiobook because now that I know what I've been missing I know I need more!

My aching heart!

This read was perfect! My heart ached & squeezed tight and all I could do was hope for them to just fight for one another, like they both deserved. But life isn’t always so straight forward, people aren’t always on the same timeline as others which made this angsty read so relatable. Kandi Steiner did beautifully telling this story and I enjoyed it from start to finish!

Such a good book!

Loved the book, the way it was written was brilliant, it made me feel everything jazzy was going through! They need to make it a movie!

One of the most annoying books I’ve ever read

I want to start by saying that the narrator did a great job. No complaints with her.

I found the main two characters to be agonizingly boring. The author’s prose. I can barely find the words. Kandi please just get to the point. Describing every detail and movement doesn’t make the story more believable. The flowery poetic nonsense frankly ruined an already underwhelming book

All the feels!

Why has it taken me so long to read a Kandi Steiner book? This book had me FEEL so much. Jasmine is best friends with Morgan and Tyler when one night changes everything for her. She leaves town and doesn't return until Morgan is getting married. Seeing Tyler brings everything back.

Jasmine is someone who I loved. She had a bad childhood, but Tyler and Morgan stood by her through everything. They were her people. She fled when things got rough, but she does a lot of soul searching in this story to truly understand who she is and what she needs. I really loved the way she grew throughout the story.

Tyler punishes himself over and over again for something he thought he did wrong. There were times I wanted to shake him during this story, but I fell in love with him, too.

This was an amazing story with all the feels! Loved it!

I typically like to have two narrators, but this narrator did a great job with the story and it wasn't necessary for me to hear Tyler's voice.

Oh My Heart

It is my fault, I should not have been listening to this one while working, but this book had me in tears - at a few different points. This book was truly everything and filled my heart. Tyler is the best friend's older brother and Jasmine was just part of the family. They have the most perfect romantic story which starts off of friends, turns into something and then my heart breaks. I felt the narrators did such an amazing job giving this story a three dimensional depth which completely captured all my emotions and had me living and breathing this story. I felt the writing was amazing and had the perfect pace to consume me and take me on one of the best emotional escapes.

If you love yourself some angst - put on a seat belt this one won't disappoint.
