Summary
Can these opposites turn up the heat...without burning down the house?
House-flipping sensation and YouTube star Maggie Nichols can't wait to dig into her next challenge. Arriving in a tiny American town with only a coffeemaker, Maggie is prepared to restore a crumbling Victorian mansion in four months or less. She has her to-do lists, her blueprints and her team. What she doesn't have is time for sexy, laid-back landscaper Silas Wright.
The man takes flirtation to a whole new level. And he does it shirtless....
He and his dog are impressively persistent. But she's not interested in putting down roots. Not when fans tune in to watch her travel the country turning dilapidated houses into dream homes. A short-term fling on the other hand could fit nicely into her calendar. After all, Maggie remembers what fun is like. Vaguely.
As their summer gets downright steamy, Silas manages to demolish the emotional walls she's spent years building, sending Maggie into a panic. He's the wrench in her carefully constructed plans. With the end of the project looming, she has a decision to make. But how can she stay when her entire career is built on moving on?

Just completely fabulous!
What a brilliant listen. I am such a fan of Lucy Score's wonderful books, which bring warmth, laughter and great characters into my life and the audios are the icing on the Lucy cake. Emma Wilding's narration is pure gold and just added more to an already fabulous story. 💖💖💖💖💖

Heartwarming and just joyful!
Lucy Score is fast becoming one of my favourite author finds of 2022 (and yes I know I am late to the party)! For me, Maggie Moves On was like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day … sweet, warming and delicious! I loved the characters of Silas and Maggie from the get go, but as the story unfolded, I was drawn into the beautiful world Score created of family and community. The Cody storyline was beautiful, and Kevin the dog was just awesome (and reminded me of my Border Collie Finn, who I had to bath this morning after he ran into a mud-swamp). Everything about the book was fab, the writing, the characters - the book just has ‘heart’. And finally, Emma Wilder is a superb narrator. All in all, I loved this book!

Not bad the humour was ok not laughing out loud for me and it was quite a long book.

Nice story
I was really enjoying this book until the ridiculously long and explicitly detailed bedroom scenes, I found them so cringe and unnecessary, luckily most of them lasted for whole chapters so were easy enough to skip past.
I found it a shame though because it felt like other parts of the story were skipped over when imo the book could have been made better by adding or explaining other parts.
I would definitely warn other readers this isn't a book you want to be listening to with other ppl around esp kids lol (I do wish more books had a warning for explicit content so at least you're forewarned)
Narrator did an amazing job and really made the story come alive
I do recommend this book with the above warnings taken on boards ;)

Feel good romcom
Can’t go wrong with Lucy Score. This book was one of those rom com that makes you feel good and upbeat. The banter was hilarious and I loved the side characters as much as the main ones. Kevin, the dog, was one of the best things in this book, he and the family messaging made me laugh hard. Maggie is an super positive and upbeat, home renovator that works hard and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty getting the job done. She is very driven and goal oriented, her company’s partner and ex husband is super grumpy, realistic and budget oriented. Together they make an interesting partnership and all is even better when a hot landscaper and his brother shakes things up. This book is slow burn but all the tension was so good. Loved it.
