About this listen
The problem with secrets is that they’re too easy to keep collecting.
Luna Allen has done some things she would rather no one ever know about. She also knows that, if she could go back in time, she wouldn’t change a single thing.
With three sisters she loves, a job she (mostly) adores, and a family built up of friends she’s made over the years, Luna figures everything has worked out the way it was supposed to.
But when one of those secrets involves the man who signs her paycheck, she can’t find it in her to regret it. Despite the fact that he’s not the friendliest man in the world. Or the most patient.
Sometimes there are things you’re better off keeping to yourself.
Number one overall Amazon Kindle best seller.

Was an interesting slow paced story
Struggled slightly in the first half of the book, but as you get knowing more; you feel more linked with the characters. Some parts felt just a bit repetitive where she would think back to the past etc but that's just my opinion and would reccomend this book!

The Queen of slow burn does it again
Lucas ‘Rip’ Ripley, is very much an antihero - I loved him. He has difficulty expressing his feelings, he has a few issues with his temper, and gets noticeably riled up when he deals with sweet, upbeat Luna Allen. Luna who always looks on the bright side of life, who is always grateful for whatever she has, no matter what life throws at her. At times though she seemed a little bit naive and didn’t stand up for herself nearly enough. She has a complicated friendship with Rip, so many secrets, I loved their back and forth, very much a super slow burn. I wasn’t sure if they would ever get it on. Could have quite easily dropped a few chapters without losing any of the story. The audio narration (in duet), is brilliant thanks to Callie Dalton and Gomez Pugh.

So surprised!
After reading some reviews I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this book, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. I loved the narration and the story. Rip is one of those book boyfriends who will stay with me, and as with most of Mariana Zapata’s books, I will definitely read it (listen to it!) again!

Heartwarming
I love the combination of Callie Dalton and Mariana Zapata… add in Gomez Pugh for Rip and it’s amazing.
It’s a beautiful slow burn, although I don’t have Luna’s past, I could relate to her repeating mantras to keep herself from slipping into sad memories. She’s a force of nature in the gentlest and sincerest way.
I relisten to MZ’s book frequently, her dialogue is natural, her writing flows and it’s easy to get lost in her world. Off to relisten to another now. Bliss.

4.5 stars
4.5 stars for the Queen of the slow burn. It's been a while since I have read anything by this author but I think this might be the slowest of all their slow burns. Not that I didn't enjoy it. I did. A lot. Luna and Rip are great! the friend group at the garage, are great. If I could have a Rip of my own, that would be beyond great!

So good
I really loved this book. I wasn't sure what I'd think of the two narrators, what with the book being from Luna's pov, but it just felt so right, and made the book even better.

Fantastic narration
I really enjoyed this story when I read it. Luna is one tough cookie and she could be annoying persistent! LOL. Callie Dalton's narration was brilliant as usual in bringing this author's story to life, and I really enjoyed listening to Gomez Pugh for the first time.
