I loved this book so much

This was a fantastic listen, thank you so much Mary Kubica. You caught my attention right at the start, and the twists were great, I was on edge and enjoying this the whole way through. I suffer from chronic pain and I do not sleep well, and I love a good audio book to distract me from the pain. And this was wonderful, I can highly recommend this book to anyone looking for.a suspense thriller, it was smashing, thanks so much for the hours of joy, five stars all round x x x x x

Poor plot. Not worth the hype

Totally stupid story line. Confusing and unnecessary side stories. The performance was constantly angst and overly dramatic.

Would have been 5/5 if not for the ending

I liked the story and the many povs were interesting. However, the ending seemed like it had been stuck on by the writer when she realised her deadline was looming and she had to tie up the loose ends.

Overdramatized

The overall story isn't bad; it has a lot of twists, but I found it to be overdramatized. At times, it felt like listening to a telenovela, with all the excessive drama and silly thoughts. The portrayal of women is mainly as brainless dolls, which was quite frustrating. Meredith, in particular, was annoying, and I'm not sure if it was the performer's fault or just the character itself. I wonder if I would have found it equally annoying if I had read the book instead of listening to it.

Story good

Storyline good but narrator’s voice just wasn’t good for me. Found it difficult to listen. The book was a bit too long and drawn out but overall I enjoyed it.

Not tremendously believable

The first half of the book is gripping, engaging, well, written-a real escape!
As the plot thickens, and the reader begins to figure things out – it becomes more unbelievable. The characters tend to become less intelligent and engaging, and more B-movie like.
