Summary

A fan favorite from Lies Jane Austen Told Me has her own story as Silvia Bradshaw begins her Hollywood career loving every aspect from the glamour and style of Audrey Hepburn to the behind-the-scenes filmmaking magic - and she is ready to prove her worth as the newest film editor at a major production studio in Hollywood.

Superb!

Gosh this was amazing! Phenomenal.
I loved the strong intelligent women , capable of holding their own at work.
Liked the supportive relationships between them, and the romance between their hero and heroine was just lovely. It was hilarious in places .
Narrator was excellent… this would be transition wonderfully on to the big screen

A great tribute to Audrey Hepburn/ Saint Maries, Idaho

I really liked the book except for the fact it seemed to go on and on. To much mental conversation. Felt like I was in a therapist office analyzing every thought. Saying all that I did enjoy the beautiful relationship Sylvia had with her grandma.

The look into Aubrey Hepburns life was so enlightening. Giving us knowledge of a celebrity who was a real person doing good things and not getting caught up into the Hollywood garbage.

I want my younger grandkids to listen to this book so they understand the value of friendship in love.

Fun, light-hearted read

I love a book that picks me up out of the day to day and sets me down in the middle of a Hallmark movie in my head. Julie makes the characters so visual and familiar- they all become real people I want to get to know better. This book was a fun, light-hearted read that was hard to put down!

Not very believable, but entertaining.

Great audio performance by Justine Eyre.

The book itself was okay, but somehow not quite right. The characters seemed forced and inconsistent instead of complex. Some of the scenes seemed completely unnecessary while others were clearly on a single-minded mission to drive the plot forward, and the difference was so stark, the overall story felt bipolar.

The romance wasn't very romantic. We only see the hero from heroine's perspective and her perception is skewed, giving us very little objective information about the guy's real character, while his actions are weird enough to send some pretty baffling mixed signals.

But if you need a distraction for a few hours and are willing to check your analytical brain at the door, the narrator's performance is good enough to make this an entertaining listening experience.

Narrator voice is poor

The story is ok. The narrator’s voice was annoying and the story wasn’t “ meaty”. If you like a simply written love story, this book is for you.

Fun story

Sweet with likeable characters. A little predictable but in a good way. Some fun life lessons thrown in. Overall a feel good story.

Feminism Doesn't Work On Men

Narration bothered me a lot. Especially when she was the voice for the love interest. Ruined the character for me. The book was mired in feminism which doesn't make for a good love story... just saying.

Flat

This sequel was so disappointing. The original is sweet and charming this was just frustrating. The characters are supposed to be bright, intelligent professionals but they can’t seem to manage any professional issues whatsoever and the romance did not make up for it. If anything, the romance highlights their difficulties with interpersonal skills.

Hard for me to review

Most memorable moment may be when they actually talk, 2 way.
For some reason most minutes from book I felt like a monologue
