Summary
When the ruling class commoditizes the organs of the desperate, who will stop them?
When Darren O'Reilly's daughter is found murdered with her kidney extracted, he refuses to believe the police's explanation that Egyptian immigrant Ubaid Almasi has murdered her.
His quest for the truth reaches the ears of Bruce McQuillan, the leader of the shadowy Chameleon Project. The stakes rise as a conspiracy of seismic proportions begins to reveal itself, Bruce realizes he needs a man of exceptional skill and ruthlessness. He needs a predator who can move freely within the criminal underworld.
He needs Connor Reed.

Great story shame about narrator change
The storyline is great, Connors character is developing very nicely, not as shallow as I expected, love the opinions he has and how thoughtful he is about things.
Sometimes the descriptions are a bit too graphic and unlikely, would he really mention to an oap about having a threesome 🤔bit far fetched. I know marines are pretty basic, but……
The narrator lets this series down I feel, particularly Connor & his boss & Luis who were in the last book so got used to their voices.

Conner the Main event
Great Story line. Some parts of his story I can relate to, like most ex squaddies, the boxing, the ranges and humour. I will now have to get the next book in the series on kindle format as I am hooked.

Terrible Scottish accent which was quite off putting. Storyline was good, I’ll probably download the next one.

narrator
I listened to the first Connor Reed series bootneck and enjoyed it narrator was decent but unfortunately this narrator is absolutely shocking his various accents are rubbish and being a Glaswegian his Scottish Glasgow accent was absolutely rank rotten which is unfortunate as I was looking forward to the new book in series but narrator has ruined it for me and if he is going to narrate the rest of the series I for one won't be purchasing any of the rest of series
