About this listen

He's murdered three and taken another. Now, he has her in his sights.

USA Today best-selling author L.T. Ryan's best-selling mystery thriller series continues as Mitch Tanner is tossed into the path of a serial killer hellbent on finishing a decade-old string of murders.

While suspended from the Philadelphia Police Department, Mitch Tanner travels to Savannah, Georgia, to visit Cassie, the medium who assisted on his last case, in hopes of uncovering a clue to the whereabouts of his estranged wife and son.

When he arrives in Savannah, he finds himself embroiled in a triple homicide and kidnapping that Cassie has been called upon to assist in by the local detectives. It isn't long before the case gets personal.

Very personal.

Now, Mitch is in a race against the clock to stop a deranged madman before he kills again.

The Mitch Tanner mystery thriller series is perfect for fans of Michael Connelly, John Sandford, Robert Crais, David Baldacci, Stuart Woods, and James Patterson.

These books seemed promising and the narration is very good indeed but...

I listened to the first book and was slightly irked by the fact that the lead character bedded two women and seemed to give all eligible females he encountered the benefit of his scrutiny. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude or a feminist BUT if I don't care (or want to know) about what the detectives get up to off duty unless it is absolutely relevant to the plot.

Book two and "quelle surprise!" he's bedded another woman already! For someone who is supposedly worrying about his "missing" son - he sure spends a lot of time thinking about what's going on in his pants instead!

Also, in the first book we encounter Cassie who is a medium and makes it very clear she is not a psychic and can only communicate with the dead. She also says that they come to her - she can't reach out to them or hold something that belongs to them and contact them that way. In book 2, the detective goes to the medium with a postcard from his son (who is supposedly alive and simply with his missing wife) to see if she can help locate him... But, never mind that, they go to bed! (eye roll)

I know I shouldn't be ungrateful as I didn't have to pay "extra" for this title (it was included with my membership) but I have had to stop it there because I don't like the main character and there's no point reading on.

Not for me I'm afraid
