Great book
Baz Thompson has another successful, helpful reading for those of us over 50. In a clear and concise manner, he explains what occurs to a woman and her body over time and the associated issues that can occur. He explains how fasting can help some of the issues that age can institute. I have read several other fasting books and find this one to provide a good understanding of what occurs in my body and how fasting can help.
Following his discussion and use of fasting for the past 2 months, I have found there are changes slowly occurring. I am not someone to stand on a scale everyday so I do not know actual weight loss but I do know that I am more comfortable in my clothes. I am close to dropping down a pant size but holding off doing that for another month. I am slowing coming to a different frame of mind regarding my life especially after the COVID impact many of us have felt. I am regaining energy I did not realize I had lost.
I like that it you slip during a fasting the world will not end, just start again during the next fast. It is ok to break the fast on occasion. Using several of the exercise books that Mr. Thompson has released, I am beginning a new regime of exercise which, coupled with fasting, should improve my overall physical and mental health. I am hoping I can get my blood pressure lowered and reduce the need for that medication. That decision is dependent on my overall health, continued monitoring of the blood pressure and consultation with my physician. I am sure I will do better in my next health physical.
I listened to the audio version of this book and found the reader to be clear, diction good and reading was at a good pace.

Good for beginners
This book had some basic information about intermittent fasting slightly nuanced for women. Not heavy into the latest science and data for intermittent fasting so sadly I could not agree with some of the content. That being said, if you are just starting out your intermittent fasting lifestyle this had a couple tips worth noting. Main points were, do what your body is comfortable with, and listen to your body and it's personal needs and limitations. There was a larger chapter on recipes, likely a nice touch in a pdf download? That part was not for my body as I have so many restrictions but I hope you find this book helpful. In good health.

Intermittent fasting is simply eating during a set window of time only. The balance of the time is for fasting. You start to burn food and calories more efficiently. The body burns calories in the way of fat and stored food instead of burning muscle and stored fat.
