Summary

I'm learning to accept that my entire life has been a lie, and that with my mother's disappearance there are mysteries I may never uncover. Not to mention, my abilities are manifesting and I'm just beginning to understand what being part of an Infinity really means.

As my relationship with each guy grows, so does the Infinity bond between us. Living with four moody guys - who give me butterflies with a simple look - can be slightly overwhelming. Still, I need answers, and moving forward is the only way to get them.

But there is a problem - each revelation provokes new questions, and secrets I may not be ready for are rising to the surface.

Contains mature themes.

wow second book in and the storyline is so good.

what can I say it's an awesome storyline. I normally go for the more explicit paranormal romance stories but even thought this is gentle within the romance side of things I really love it and start on book 3 now 😊 well done to all involved 👏

Sucked me in with interest and left me feeling empty- possible spoilers!!!

These books started off so well, it peaked my interest and I left me looking forward to the next book. I felt (If possible) there was too much needless sex and not enough story line. After the big reveal in later books, I was kind of waiting for more but never got it. I felt there should have been more to come.

The second book ok

So I listened to the second book. And I did like the drama but the pace was a bit too slow. I the main character has gotten a few more dimensions. I kinda miss the mean girl from the first book she is only there in the beginning. I missed the outside boy Charlie. The narrator was good but the story lacking.

Continued mispronunciations and red flags

The narrator apparently refused to learn the names of main characters. Saying Lèon (like the French town) instead of the human name Leon and says Heiress or Airs instead of Ares. These aren’t obscure or difficult names. It’s grates on the ears and ruins the whole experience. Don’t get me started on her ‘Italian’. Even if it’s not a language she knows. How hard is it to look up the pronunciation common Italian words online?

As for the story itself, still has no spice. But there is steam between a 23 yo and a 17yo… the protagonist is outrageously jealous and possessive, toxically so. It’s revolting. And she’s still pathologically insecure: no sign of character development in sight.

The second book just adds more to the world building that wasn’t in the first book. But the relationships just don’t happen? No progression sexual or emotional or anything. It’s just weird. Not even in a slow burn way. It’s like the story is waiting for something to happen before the relationships can start the slow burn

The overall mystery is engaging. And I love Milo and Oliver. The magic system is pretty good.

I wouldn’t recommend the series to anyone, but I wouldn’t warn anyone off of it either.

Need new narrator

The woman reading this does awful male voices. And honestly the female voices aren't much better.

Favorite of the series

I think book 2 was my favorite out of the whole series (writing this after I finished the series a couple days ago). I think the relationship building was the best in book 2 (even though Milo and Ollie aren't the prime guys ever unfortunately). I liked how how Ares and Laura's relationship bloomed (even though he should have done more about Mia in my opinion) and the relationship with Dante was an intriguing concept that I don't normally read in RH books (the primalness/animal possessiveness from Dante's tiger and Laura's reactive animal feelings) but it didnt flow as well as I had hoped. I think somethings the author did were awesome, but I thought there could have been more interaction with Dante as a tiger. I think that would have sealed it more for me. We finally get to see some walls come down with Milo, but it takes awhile to get there. Again, Ollie provides the flirty/happiness/humor moments but he doesn't get enough love I think from Laura. Also the relationship between 2 of the guys isn't really explored except a couple times which was kinda disappointing for me. I loved the moments seeing Laura allowing herself to be happy, to believe this infinity was real. Getting to learn more about this world and the backstory was great too. One more thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was that the guys continuously aren't telling her things. Like maybe they are forgetting (they are guys haha) but she has no knowledge of this world and the parents have to explain things. Like come on boys, put your big boy pants on and help your lady out!

Narration was better in book 2 I thought than in book 1. I listen to Heather at 1.4X speed and I didnt have the complaints others had and I am a super picky listener haha. I think she does a good job with the female characters and is ok with the guys, but not stellar (in my opinion that is totally ok, not all female narrators can change their voices enough to sound like the males without overdoing it). 4 stars from me for the narration.

This book held my attention the most I think (maybe besides 4) and I would recommend the series with a caveat that it is not perfect, it seems like it was done by an author maybe not with a ton of experience in the respect the flow wasn't smooth/perfected as much as I think her series since then are (I am gonna listen to her monsters series next, I've heard great things about that one).

The G rated story continues!

I really have mixed feelings on this series. I listen to so many different shifter books/series and for these four people to be so connected and only get to 2nd base by the end of book two is just not realistic! It's like listening to a children's book, especially with Heather making the guys sound like Alvin and the chipmonks, it is somewhat annoying! However, the story is starting to move along. I will say that I actually finished book 3 before writing this review, so I can tell you that book 3 does bring their story to a new level and it ends with a bang! I'm actually excited to start book 4.

So, I recommend that if you decide to invest your time in this series stick with it. The first two books move slow and Laura's meek demeanor doesn't help, but I promise it does get better as you move through the series.

It Keeps Getting Better and Better

I love all of these characters and then think of this world that Albany has created. Except for Mia. I can’t stand Mia LOL. Albany truly makes this world feel real. I wish so much that I too could be apart of an infinity. Off to book 3.
