Summary

She's everything I shouldn't want, but exactly what I crave.

She bleeds innocence the way I radiate darkness. The moment she walked into my club, she was mine. She just didn't know it. I'll be the one to ruin her, and she will love every second.

Innocence lost can't be regained.

My life seems rather simple from the outside. I'm the devoted daughter to a former rodeo champion. I never wanted to follow my mother's footsteps into the arena. My boots are firmly planted in the dirt on our family farm, but an accident changed everything.

Now I spend my nights on a stage, and my days in the barn. Dancing has paid the bills for the past two years, but no one knows my secret. Or so I thought.

Amusement is the darkly sweet duel POV stalker romance you didn't know you needed.

Outstanding

I go through about 10 books a week at least and virtually never leave a review but I just had to for this one. The narration for both main characters is spot on but Rafe’s inner dialogue is I think the best I’ve ever heard/read. He’s a total psychopath but so vulnerable with Lucy I just loved him and he was so bloody funny it was unreal. As for Lucy’s best friend well I don’t like to give spoilers so I’ll say nothing more than the girl needs a serious talking to about what a friend does and doesn’t do.
I 1000% recommend this book I listened to it in one go as I just couldn’t put it down.

Me? Obsessed with you? Yes! Yes I am

God damn his voice! I'm a puddle of goo right now and I'm not a beginner. This might have been the best performance yet.

A brilliant story enhanced by amazing narrators

So no one wants to root for the bad guys but in this case, one can't help but fall for both characters in this story. Lucy aka Fell and Rafe aka Rex, well who would have thought psycho crazy has an equilibrium in an unassuming and beautiful soul as Lucy. I think I am going to be reading more psycho love stories from now on. Particularly if it's narrated by the voices of LW and MS who brought these brilliant characters to life to tell a messed up but yet beautiful story of somewhat redemption through love.

Fab

I love a good stalker romance and I was really looking forward to listening to this. The chemistry between Lucy and Rafe was there from their first meeting and it only got stronger . The narration was perfect .

i wanted to like this

I thought "ok, i love Albany's other books, and even if it's a stalker romance she'll make it work..." but yeah no. The dynamic is cringey, the female lead is näive and judgmental, and the romantic interest is so....ew. He's not appealing whatsoever. I tried. I suggest readers to check out Albany's other books💖

Holy crap that was a good book!!! ❤️❤️❤️

You know when you are listening to a book and you’re both mad that you haven’t gotten to finish it and mad that you know that the book will eventually end? That’s this book. I truly enjoy Ms. Walker’s books, but holy crap she took it to an entirely new level with this one. Best. Stalker. Romance. Ever!!!

I adore sweet and accepting Lucy and Rafe is 🔥🔥🔥. I’ll take a fictional character who is willing to burn down the world for his woman over a man that brings chocolate any day.

The narration is spot on. 😍 I actually started reading this book, but once I tried the sample of the audio version I was hooked. I absolutely love the dual narration, where each narrator does their character’s voice throughout (male narrator solely reads for the male character and female narrator solely reads for the female character). Ms. Sparks does an amazing job as Lucy and the deep almost feral tone of Mr. Webley’s voice is intoxicating.

I want more of Rafe’s background (to be honest, more of Rafe period) but it seems that Ms. Walker has possibly laid out the groundwork for this to become a series 🤞🙏🤞🙏

Overall, an amazing story and I highly recommend this book!!!

Felonious Rex!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙💜❤️
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌏
Character development: 😠😘🤓😉😍

The heroine: Lucy (a.k.a. Felony) - She is an eighteen year old stripper who works at a Detroit strip club. The other dancers don’t like her because she is the second highest earner and the only one for whom the owners strictly enforce the no touch rule. She also is the only one who doesn’t have to do lap dances. She dances to be able to afford her horse ranch and help take care of her mother who was in an accident and is now in a wheelchair.

The Hero: Rafe (a.k.a. Rex) - He is the owner of the Doll House, the club where Lucy works, but she has never seen him, he has been stalking her for months. He is over the top possessive and jealous and freely admits that he will kill anyone who touches her. He watches her when she walks from her car to work, he parks outside her house and watches her, and he even sneaks into her house and watches her from her closet while he strokes himself and steals her panties.

The Story: Lucy begins to suspect that someone has been following and starts to get more and more nervous while she is out on her own. She has the bouncer of the club, Winger walk her to her car after her shift at the club. When something odd happens at the club, Winger tells Lucy to take a few weeks off and stay out of the city. She can’t afford it, but since she is afraid she is being stalked, she decides to take the time off.

Lucy doesn’t stay out of the city, though. Since she has time off work, she sees it as a chance to spend time with her best friend Gwen, and goes out to a club with her. Lucy is surprised to see one of the bouncers from the Doll House is also working at the club they go to. There she meets a mysterious man who takes the bad boy thing to a whole new level.

The book is told in dual points of view using duet narration. The narrators are Michelle Sparks and Lucas Webley. I haven’t heard these two narrators often but they are absolutely perfect for this book. Lucas Webley does a deep and gravelly voice that is super mysterious and sexy, perfect as a stalker like Rafe. Michelle Sparks has a soft but clear voice which is very feminine and pleasant to listen to.

I love stalker romance, and possessive alpha males as well so I think I already liked this one going in. Of course I was once married to a man like that and it was absolute hell. So I definitely don’t like real life stalkers or controlling personalities, but romance novels are fiction so I enjoy the occasional psycho/stalker romance and this guy was all of that. The story was good and held my interest.

I liked it when we hear Rafe’s thoughts more than during his initial stalking. He is kind of funny. He realizes that he has to make Lucy like him and is unsure of how to do that since nobody likes him, they fear him, but don’t like him. Rafe was baked at the time and is quite awkward around Lucy. I wanted to know more about him.

The one thing that bothered me was how Lucy kept thinking of questions she wanted to ask Rafe, but then for one reason or another she decides not to at the time and says she will ask him later. I wanted the answers as well and it was kind of a letdown, though some were answered later in the book, some weren’t. Though I really did love the story and I liked how crazy Rafe was and how Lucy takes everything in stride.

I want one!!

Omg Albany Walker is like one of my favorite Authors and I was so excited to listen to this book. It was everything and more of what I needed in my life. It is a stalker romance, but the way Albany wrote it does not make it feel like one. It almost makes you want to have one of your own personal stalkers. Luca Webley and Michelle Sparks killed it on narrating this book.

Just boring

The whole innocent stripper vibe was boring to me but the man guy character wasn’t too bad to listen too…

Delicious and Seductive!

Awesome story and the narration was fantastic. The dual narration flowed so well. Loved how possessive the “Hero” was. I will definitely get book 2.

I LOVE IT!!

I can honestly say I am in love with this story. So many people felt weird or uncomfortable reading this. I’ll admit, there are awkward moments, but overall, I really enjoyed this.
First off, I love the male protagonist. He’s fantastic. I love how hysterical, clumsy, and awkward he can be. It’s real. He’s antisocial and it shows. Their meeting at Tractor Supply had me laughing so much. The dog food. Lol.
The female protagonist is pretty dumb sometimes, which can be annoying. But I also enjoy how down to earth she is. I love horses and grew up on a horse farm so in a few ways I could really relate to her.
Her friend was annoying as hell. Some characters weren’t necessary but were there anyway which can be a little bit tedious and annoying. You could tell they needed to have a climax and it was thrown together.
But honestly, it’s so worth it. The characters are real, flawed, naive, and unique. And I loved the male protagonist, crazy or not. I loved that he admitted he knows he’s a psychopath but one that knows what he wants. It’s a good story. Better than most stalker romance novels.

Could be great if the h weren't a complete doormat

This was a relisten and I was kind of bummed

This book could've been ahhhhmazing if only the h had any kind of backbone. She let's people steamroll her. She just accepts everything.

She should've been angry about what he did. They could've worked it out, but there was no anger from her. At all. I was so beyond frustrated with it. She just immediately accepts everything. No anger. whatsoever. It was almost enough to 1* it, but the rest was good. LITERALLY NONE. She doesn't even pretend to need time and space. Her accepting what he does is one thing but accepting the lies and the stalking and tracking and control without question is enraging. I actually love his obsession and complete and utter love/devotion to her. I HATE her complete acceptance and pushover attitude. Even when she's hurt, she is completely obedient to him. She confronts him about owning the doll house and does everything he says. He's the one who controlled that entire conversation and it was infuriating. I just really wish it caused a separation and he had to earn her back but nope she's all like "no probs babe". She seriously jokes about it and thinks about how sweet it is that he's been "watching over her". Like absolutely no regard for the invasion and violation.

Just rewrite this awful f***ing ending!!! This could've been an easy 5* book if only it caused conflict when she found out everything.
