Summary

A new adult stand-alone romance from USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author Siobhan Davis.

My dreams of attending Juilliard shattered the night tragedy struck my family.

That night, a part of me died inside.

Now, the only peace I find is in stolen moments on a rooftop where I dance to remember as much as to forget.

Until I literally stumble headfirst into Levi’s life.

He’s six feet two inches of ripped, hard, gorgeous temptation wrapped in a very irritating package. I swear he was sent to test me, because his hot-and-cold attitude pushes my buttons like no guy has before.

I don’t know at what point I fall, but he worms his way into my heart without me noticing. One moment we are trading insults, the next we’re shedding our clothes and surrendering to the searing-hot chemistry smoldering between us.

He breathes life into me again.

Before tearing me apart when I discover it’s all been a lie.

He says he kept his identity a secret for my protection.

Yet I’m all alone when his enemies come for me.

Great story from Siobhan Davis!

As always, Siobhan Davis shows why she’s one of the best romance writers with this moving, touching story.

When Dakota’s family survives a horrible tragedy, her life is derailed. Instead of attending the college of her dreams, she settles for a more practical education at the University of Iowa. Shawn is a high-profile rock star, who changes his appearance and hides out in college for a chance of normalcy and to avoid an increasingly dangerous stalker.

These are two hurt people, hiding their dreams and secrets from each other, but they are undeniable in love and good for each other. This story was a wonderful listen, and the narrators did an amazing job voicing the male and female parts. It’s the kind of book leaving you rooting the main characters, who will find their way against all odds.

Do yourself a favor, and one-click this book! It’s a great stand-alone and introduction to Ms. Davis’ work if you haven’t had the pleasure yet.

My Thoughts on Incognito

This was another amazing story by Siobhan Davis. It sucked me right in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the very end. It was emotional, and steamy, and beautifully written. There was this amazing flow to the storyline that just kept you hooked and wanting to keep going. The narration was 5 stars all by itself. Both performers did a great job. Wen Ross especially stood out for me as doing a spectacular job with Shawn/Levi.

Rockstar Romance

Incognito - by Siobhan Davis Is a standalone new adult/college-age rockstar romance.

Shawn "Liam" is a popular Rockstar forced to go into hiding due to having a stalker. His hiding place is at a college where he is enamored by a rooftop dancer he can view from his place every night. Dakota has her own problems she is dealing with after losing her sister in a traumatic way. She is a loyal daughter and I admired how she advocated and cared for her mother. Liam and Dakota have an easy friendship and you could feel their connection from the start. There is mild drama and some miscommunication but overall, A beautifully written story that was not the usual "Rockstar" romance that was an enjoyable listen.

Heartbreakingly good!

This book was amazing, cliche in some parts and not with others and I was so here for it.

Dakota was so strong, even when she didn't believe herself to be. I hated what she went through and can't imagine the pain she felt.

Sean/Levi was so much more, when he was able to finally be his true self you could feel the weight coming off his shoulders.

When Dakota and Levi connected it was like everything shined just a little bit brighter. I loved it and them together so much and hated the things they endured both separate and together.

Ramona Master and Wen Ross were so good, they brought life to these characters and really let the emotions fly, I loved it.

Intense

Dakota dreams of attending Juilliard were dashed when tragedy struck her family. Now she only has stolen moments on the roof where she meets him . When Dakota meets Levi’s he has no idea what he’s hiding but their attraction is there from the start. I expect nothing but perfection from Siobhan books and this does not disappoint there’s angst and twists and turns all set to send you on an emotional rollercoaster ride .

Standalone New Adult Romance

Incognito by Siobhan Davis is a standalone new adult romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Ramona Master and Wen Ross.

I absolutely love Siobhan's books! I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Shawn and Dakota. It was a bit messy, but they were perfect for each other. I loved that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Ramona and Wen are absolutely amazing narrators! They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like new adult romances, contemporary romances, rock star romances, or romantic suspense.

Intriguing Story Line with Great Characters!!!

Shawn Lucas is a famous musician who finds himself at a college in Iowa trying to hide out after some recent threats have come his way. His goal is to focus on school and blend in and nothing more. Dakota is an accounting student also at the same college, though her passion is really dancing. Her dream had been to go tor Juilliard before tragedy struck her family, altering the course of her life. She is also not looking for a relationship because the last guy she was with completely broke her trust at the worst time in her life, when she needed him the most.

Shawn/Levi and Dakota meet because they are in the same classes, though they initially butt heads. There is something about Dakota that Shawn is drawn to and despite all the reasons he knows he should stay away, he just can't. Dakota's life seems to be getting harder and harder until she is at her breaking point, and somehow Shawn always seems to be there wanting to help her pick up the pieces.

Incognito is full of drama and action and some fun and great characters, namely Dakota's friends. I also really liked Devin and the mentor role he took on for Shawn. I actually really liked Shawn. It was clear how much he cared for Dakota and how protective he was of her and how much he struggled with his situation. I think he and Dakota had some great chemistry and I really liked them together. It was clear that his true and genuine personality was coming through in his interactions with Dakota.

I found the story to be very engaging and I would definitely recommend it. I have not read Inseparable yet, which is Ange and Devin's story, who were in this book as well, but now I definitely need to.

Ramona Master and Wen Ross were phenomenal with the narration of this complicated and emotionally charged story. Ramona Master does a wonderful job bringing forth all of the emotions throughout the course of a story, whether things are fun and lighthearted or serious and heartbreaking. Wen Ross is always amazing to listen to and just makes for an entirely listening experience and this was no exception.

Amazing Emotional Romance ❤️

Shawn/Levi is a rockstar, who has lived the rockstar life but finally cleaned himself up and was staying sober. When he is threatened by a stalker, he changes his appearance and goes to Iowa and registers to be a college student. He meets Dakota in class and is interested in her but realizes that he can’t get involved because he will eventually leave once they find his stalker. From his penthouse, he can see a woman who dances on a building rooftop and needs to see who it is.  Dakota is a strong, smart, sassy, beautiful woman who is recovering from a family tragedy that broke her heart.  They start to get close but then break apart and fight a lot.  They both have their demons to fight, plus Levi is lying to her about who is really is.  There are a lot of emotions in this story along with suspense. I was rooting for them to get through this because they make a great couple.  I loved the other characters in this story too. The narration from Ramona Masters and Wen Ross was just perfect. I thought both brought the story to life showing all the emotions of the characters. I loved this book and would recommend it.

hidden rockstar romance

A well written rockstar romance read with some suspense as well. Sweet and steamy this book was a great listen. I loved the dual point of view as well as the dual narration, but the female vocals came thru whiney at times - not sure if that was intentional or not but didn't take away from the enjoyment of the storyline. Our main characters are Dakota and Shawn (Levi). Dakota comes from a seemingly wealthy family who's had an unspeakable tragedy effect all the members of their family. Shawn (Levi) is a rockstar with a stocker problem and attempts on his life have been made. While he goes into hiding and meets Dakota the attraction and chemistry are instant, and both fight it for their own reasons. Dakota seems like a strong character but goes back and forth on her convictions so...Shawn's (Levi) character is great but ugh - the secrets he knows will come back to haunt him and doesn't follow his instincts or demand action be taken is so frustrating - he's the boss more or less (right)?!? Anyway - I loved the ups and downs as well as the serious issues that are addressed (mental illness, drug abuse, ect). I also loved the secondary characters, especially Dakota's besties - so outrageous, you can help but love em! Love the steam factor but could do without the midnight dancer label/nickname - but I get it. Good read / listen and I'm definitely up for more from Davis!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

Beautiful story

Another brilliantly crafted and powerful emotive epic romance from the always amazing Siobhan Davis. The angst, the heartache, the tenderness. ALL THE EMOTIONS! Incognito is a roller coaster of feeling, devastating twists, and a deep love story that wrecks and heals.

Shawn/Levi and Dakota both have their own complicated baggage. One a celebrity lost in the razzle dazzle of fame and fortune, and paying the price of his career in more ways than one. Now in hiding, he’s drawn to the mysterious dancer who has her own painful past. The bond he finds with the beautiful dancer catalyzes his own journey- as he’s a man trying to reclaim his core, his essence, to reconnect to what brought him to his music, to what makes him a human, a man. But Dakota’s history is certainly complicated. Guilt, sadness, and grief weigh heavy, but she’s also a survivor, a fighter. And her connection with Levi is a lifeline.

The chemistry is this story is so powerful and rich- the layers of these characters, the depth of their draw to each other, the ways in which it both makes them feel at risk but also helps them heal. But secrets and Shawn’s TRUE life can create obstacles, particularly for a girl who is drowning at times in her own brokenness. Fortunately, theirs is a love that can face a lot, and I loved watching their love blossom. Watching them fall is so beautiful, addictive, immersively emotional. And watching them fight for their HEA was a joy.

I simply adored this heartfelt story, and the narration is top notch. Ramona and Wen bring the right emotional tenor to the vocal performances, sweeping me away in this love story.

Incognito

Wow what an incredible book. I always love Siobhan’s books. I am always surprised by something in every book, and I love that. Shawn/Levi is a famous musician that has to go in hiding. His house keeps getting robbed and his life is now in danger. Dakota is a college accounting major that really should be dancing. Dakota lost her sister from a tragic situation. This changed her life and her college career. She was barely living for herself anymore. They meet and both are interested in to each other. They helped each other work through their trauma. Loved this book! Ramona Master and Wen Ross do a fantastic job narrating in duet style narration.

Emotional, with angst, and mystery

Incognito is a new adult stand-alone romance. Dakota and Shawn/Levi is beautifully written, emotional, thrilling, and engaging, filled with drama, angst, mystery, suspense, and romance. Dakota, a dancer, is smart, and strong. Her past is heartbreaking. Shawn/Levi, a rockstar, is handsome, and supportive. They are both interesting characters. I liked their instant attraction, and slow burn romance. The story is told from both POV's, which is great! Ramona Master and Wen Ross did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Siobhan Davis never disappoints. #TheFlock
