About this listen
"Put Victoria with two Alpha brothers, and wow, oh wow, your socks will be knocked off."
First a Marine, then a black ops agent, Victoria Morgan knows the military is where she belongs...until a sniper's bullet changes her life. Trying to prove she's not washed up, she rescues a young man from kidnappers. When the dying boy transforms into a cougar - and bites her - she learns of an entire hidden society. He begs her to inform his grandfather of his death and to keep the secret of the shifters' existence. She can't refuse, but what if the creatures pose a danger to the country she swore to protect?
As guardian of the shifter territory, Calum McGregor wields the power of life and death over his people. When a pretty human female arrives in their wilderness town, he and his littermate become increasingly concerned. Not only is the little female hiding something, but she is far more appealing than any human should be.
While investigating the shifters, Victoria begins to fall in love with the werecat brothers and the town as well. For the first time in her life, she might have a real home. Her hopes are crushed when a deadly enemy follows her from the city, and the shifters discover she knows their secret. Now nobody is safe - least of all Victoria.

"HOUR OF THE LION was simply amazing. Hot hunky shifter men, a strong and sassy heroine, a gripping story, and some oh so lovely ménage action are just the tip of the iceberg in this phenomenal read! A Top Pick and 5 Stars." (The Romance Reviews)

Hour of the Lion
I found this book to be loads of fun, easy to follow and with great characters. Noah and Erin read through this book very well adding their vioces for theie characters even when they were not reading that chapter. Nicely done. 👌

A great start
I love Cherise Sinclair books. If your not into BDSM this book is not for you but if you're in for a great romance with sexy alpha males then read/listen to her books.
I get chills when listening to Noah Michael Levine and Erin DeWard.

Great Narration and an Excellent tale.
I have previously read the kindle version of this book, and this review is based on that- with an update for this audible version:
This genre is not my usual oeuvre but I do like this writer and have read her BDSM themed erotica so I thought I would give it a go, and I am glad I did. As a novice in the field I had no real idea what to expect but I did enjoy this tale of ex-marine turned CIA spy and all round caring Vic who, following a strange but ultimately tragic incident involving Lachlan a young lad she was briefly imprisoned with, she goes in search of his grandfather to explain what had happened to his grandson, and in due course she meets with Callum and Alec McGregor. Alec is the local Sheriff, Callum his brother is a bar owner and leader of his clan.
From here on the story involves a group of strange folk who live in a small town which has humans around of course but, who themselves are werecats and other shifter-animals. She gets sucked into the local life, the strange new world and new experiences, not least of which involved falling for the brothers and discovering that her encounter with Lachlan had a transformational effect on her life.
This was so well written and thought through that the fantasy elements were believable and intertwined with a good romantic suspense story-line and excellent erotic writing to create an enjoyable and sexy escapist romp that had me hooked from the beginning and left me wanting more. A large part of the appeal was that there is more to this than the separate parts: Its not just a good erotic romance, although it is that, nor just the engaging but different personalities of the main characters, but also the peripheral people who are well placed and cleverly sketched with individuality and substance, the environment that is richly described, the natural world, the townscape and the paranormal all combining to make this a very enjoyable read. I have downloaded the next two in the series.

I have just listened to the Audible version and still really enjoyed this story and the narration by Noah Michael Levine, and Erin DeWard was excellent. This was definitely worth listening to. My previous review of the story stands.

Great new series,Can't wait for more!
Another great series from Cherise Sinclair. I have read/listened to all of the Masters of the Shadow Lands and am at present working my way through the Dark Heaven Books with a small diversion to listen to the Hour of the Lion. Cherise has written yet another good story with plenty of different characters with different shades of dark and light. It was good to have a strong central female character. The only complaint I have about this book is that I could have done with another chapter at the end to elaborate on the on-going relationships of the characters involved. I am hoping this will be expanded upon with the next books in the series. Cant wait for the next one in the series to be released. Soon I hope!!!
Love that this series also had Noah Michael Levine and Erin DeWard as the narrators Love these guys as they really bring the book to life!

3.5 stars
This book was decent, but it had promise to be a lot more. It kept slipping back into the typical mundane shifter romance trope with areas of soppiness and the heroine losing her spunk a bit, but then it would go back up to being better than the rest out there. Think if the author worked to make sure everything was better than the rest then this series could easily get 5 stars.
