Loved loved loved

I so enjoyed listening to this box set. The narrator the stories just brilliant.

Another brilliant series. Intriguing and emotional reading, .
The brothers problems with English language made them vulnerable and endearing. Great storyline with a twist making it very difficult to stop listening to.
Great romance for each brother.

Great Series

This is a collection which I enjoyed immensely, I like the author's writing style and her characters and this review is written after both reading and then listening to them. The audio version certainly brings a whole different level to the stories.

1 Danil's Mate - I have to say that I so enjoyed this story about Danil and Dora, it's the first book in the series and after listening to it I am so glad I don't have to wait for the next one, I find I enjoy audio more as it allows me to listen whilst driving etc. But back to this book, it's about love and family and left me with a warm feeling. I do love shifter romance stories and I especially liked Danil.

The storyline is very good and had no trouble holding my attention, there is drama, suspense, and even a mystery. But as I've already said this is a love story with some incredible chemistry. The characters are well-drawn and work well together. Danil is a true alpha bear even though he is the youngest of four brothers, he's also the family lawyer. Dora is a typical journalist, she's sharp and observant with a naturally curious nature. They make a perfect couple the chemistry between them is palpable and hot!

Although the book doesn't end on a cliffhanger it does leave some questions unanswered which I'm sure more will be revealed in the next books.


2 Emin's Mate - This is the second book is about Emin and Glory who is a tiger shifter who has spent the better part of her life living in her tiger form. This has made her elusive especially as she's hiding out in her tiger form in Malashovik territory.

Emin and Glory's story may be short but it's no less enjoyable for that. When they first meet they both feel an instant attraction, and palpable chemistry. Glory is drawn to Emin who is an artist-painter, he's patient and caring, and very supportive. He's an artist who expresses his emotions on canvas. Whilst Glory who has suffered much doesn't let her bad experiences spoil the joy she is finding in her life now.

I liked the bond the four brothers have it certainly added to the story and I am so glad that I can no go on to, Maxim, and then Anton's stories without having to wait. The storyline flowed well although the ending is suspenseful.

3 Maxim's Mate - This is Maxim and Ivy's story. The last thing Ivy Greene wants is a long-term relationship. She's been hurt before and has one goal in life to protect herself and her son from further pain after being betrayed by her son's father. So when she meets Maxim at a bar she doesn't want anything but a few hours of his company. Maxim, however, recognizes that Ivy is his Mate, the only one for him. But Ivy doesn't make it easy for him as she slips away whilst he's sleeping.

For six months, Max has thought about Ivy and how he might find her again but then fate came to his aid, he's a firefighter and he and his crew responded to a traffic accident where they rescued Ivy and Linc her 5-year-old. But again she slipped away, but this time she and Linc came back to thank Max for saving their lives.

Ivy has a secret one she doesn't want to share but when Maxim helps Linc he comes closer to winning her heart. When he helps a second time, she decides to give them a chance and try for more. But when they are kidnapped by Navuka, Maxim enlists the aid of his whole family to try to save them but will he be in time?

4 Anton's Mate - This is the most emotional story of them all. You have to feel for Anton, he's the oldest brother, but he was kidnapped and experimented on by a department of the Belarusian government, their reason being to alter and control the shifters! Because of his capture and torture, he prefers to stay in bear form and only changes back for work and to visit his family.

He's scarred both physically and emotionally and believes that he doesn't deserve a mate, how could he ever expect his love to be returned, especially as he has no idea how to express his love to a mate. That was before he met AJ who gave him a reason to live and convinced him to stand and fight against the agency.

I recommend this series to anyone who loves paranormal romance, Selena Scott makes her characters come alive, she makes them interesting and exciting. Sometimes there's even an element of humour.

The narration by Craig A. Hart, HotGhost Productions was well done his narration is excellent, he did a terrific job, his voice is great and his portrayal of the characters brings out their personalities so well.

Fun series

I really liked this series- of course there were some alpha shifters and the women who loved them. But there was also an underlying arc of people trying to bring harm to the shifters (but studying them and turning them into advanced soldier like shifters.) Overall, the characters were great- strong and there were moments of levity and intensity that really made this series well balanced. I also loved that we got to listen to the whole series at one time. I loved the progression from story to story and love to love. I loved how the narrator brought the characters to life as well- he did a great job. Overall, this is a great series that follows a family of shifters that seek love while trying to live a life free from being imprisoned. A great, well rounded series!
