Summary

One True Mate series: An all wolf-shifter police force has been the only thing between humans and an unknown evil for centuries, but the pack is in danger of dying if they don't find their promised mates soon.

This bundle contains four full novels:

One True Mate, the first book

Trevor has lived his entire life believing he was a fraud but angling for a chance to prove he’s not; itching for an actual fight against the demon he’s prophesied to defeat. Nightly, he dreams about the One True Mates. Do they exist? Do they not? He’s drawn to a female, but she doesn’t seem to fit the prophecy, until she leads him right into the home of the demon himself.

One True Mate, the second book

The dragon came to Serenity to fight the demon, and it’s the last thing he hopes to do in his too-long life, but then he meets her, the only woman in the world who may be able to handle his love.

One True Mate, the third book

Crew is a powerful, yet tortured, wolf shifter who is convinced he has to live out the visions he sees in his head: true love lost before it has a chance to begin. Crew is about to discover how powerful love really is.

One True Mate, the fourth book

Cerise is a mystery, and something about her scrambles Beckett’s brain cells. He must figure out who she is to him, and why he’s willing to drop everything to help her.

Robotic narrator awful

I cannot give a review of the story line as I honestly could not bare to listen to the book. The narrator was just awful, he sounded robotic, just like a computer generated composite. Unbearable

Brilliant. I’m hooked well & truly

This is the first time I have listened to this author and she is absolutely brilliant. By the time I got to the end of book 2, I was completely hooked and felt like I was one of the family. I blubbed all through the beginning of book 4; the stories are so well told. Narration was the best I’ve ever heard and I will definitely look out for him as well. Now I’m off to get the next one in the series, and the next one and the next one. Don’t miss out on this fabulous series. Oh, and by the way the steamy moments were described really well and were read perfectly.

Much better than I’d anticipated

I just wanted some trashy romance novel to listen to while I opened up shop on a morning, but the writing was much better than I thought, not amazing, I don’t think the author was trying to be particularly brilliant, but you can tell she really had fun writing these characters, they’re all distinctive and original, consistent and likeable. The plot is pretty well thought out too, the world building and the lore is more consistent than a lot of very popular books I’ve read that we’re taking themselves much more seriously. It’s definitely worth giving a chance, the first book started a bit “meh” but if you stick with it it’s worth it, the author is just getting into her stride. I will say, there should have been a female narrator for the female POV scenes, the man doing the girls voices threw me off a bit, but not nearly as much as his Scottish accent! Bless his heart, but he sounded like a drunk Indian who’d lived in Australia for a few years and then maybe been shown a photo of some tartan, Sweet baby Jeebus, it was bad! He wasn’t a bad narrator though, just shouldn’t have been chosen for a series that includes an entire book with a Scottish lead. I will be getting the rest of the books now, I HAVE to find out what happens with Trent and Troy, and I want to know who’s been leaving those signs all over town, has to be an undiscovered one true mate, I think it’s the girl from the video with the Foxen, just have to wait and see!

Loved it

Brilliant story line so far. Can’t wait to hear more. One true Mate 4 was by far the saddest in terms of storylines but still brilliant.

Love the whole series

The narrator was fine for me, just different. Once I got used to it I was lost in the storyline. Couldn't stop listening once i started and lost a few nights sleep as I was so engrossed.
I would recommend these books to anyone and I'll be listening to them again and again

Great stories

There are some negative reviews for the narration of the first book, there did seem a fault with the playback that is difficult to get through but it is well worth it, persevere and you won't be sorry. Fantastic story and narration.

Computerized voice

I couldn't even make it past the 3rd chapter of the first book. They obviously used some artificial editing, synthesizer or something. The narrator rarely sounded human. I have read a few of these books & enjoyed them but the Audible version is horrific.

Narration a problem

The narration sounded like a robot reading a story. It was so distracting that I just couldn’t finish listening.

Horrible narration

I'm not really sure if the story is any good because I couldn't get past the narration. He sounded like a computer was reading the book. There was no emotion at all! Thank God it was in the romance collection and I didn't pay for it!

Narrator is horrible

I want to listen to these books because I read they are good but can’t get past the narrator. It’s so bad I can’t. I tried but it’s giving me anxiety listening. Glad it was in the romance package.

I tried 3 times

I have tried to listen to this series more than once and the way the narrator reads it is just to monotone and robot like. Has all the potential for a great story but the reading kills it for me

Narrator ruins the book

I was actually interested in the story but the narration is so awful that I returned the book bundle. I see so many reviews saying the same thing that the publisher should have this series redone. I find it hard to believe anyone has truthfully listened to this entire series with this narrator. Just awful!

I tried to stick it out. I only made it five hours

I previously read these books and I thoroughly enjoyed them. But this narration is impossible to get through. I even tried to speed it up and it did not help. The narrator sounds like a robot reading. It sounds like when your phone reads something back to you with no inflection at all. I made it maybe halfway through the first book. But I couldn't make it any further. I would definitely recommend reading these books they're fun but do waste your time on this audiobook.

Couldn't Finish

The narrator is horrible, I couldn't get past the first 5 mins. He sounded like a computerized voice and I couldn't get into to it.
