Story lacked substance. It seemed to be in the hear and now & then suddenly skipped nine months. Events that took place within the that 9 months were referred to later in the story - i may have understood Torie's issues a bit better if this part wasn't skipped. For the most part Tori was judgemental with a terrible attitude towards Jamie. Jamie was dominant, crude and wouldnt take no for an answer. They played the game of
a love/hate relationship and were back and forth again & again which was frankly exhausting. Tory in my mind was slightly mad and needed therapy. Jamie was up front & honest with Tori but she was defensive and in denial of her feelings. it was very much a one sided relationship and noone would blame Jamie for bailing but he hung on in there. Once Tori admitted liking Jamie, and believe me it took a while, she then became whiney, jealous and needy. The narrator soundex exactly as portrayed. A positive is Sebastian Yorks voice - I could listen to him for hours but

Found this book really frustrating because there was no storyline to speak of so was quite annoying and it did not leave me wanting to listen to the next bit whenever I left it. I had to push myself to get on with it and found myself reading lots of other books in between. I got to the end because being an audible and pricier than normal books I couldn't just abandon it. I found the female narrator irritating in this book - sorry because I'm sure it takes a lot of hard work to do this. It made the book childish, sounded like a teenager more than a grown woman which made it worse and quite uncomfortable to then listen to the scenes that are x rated. I would have possibly rather heard the whole book from the male character who made it a more grown up book. I found the female character whose name escapes me which is indicative of how non invested I was in the book frustrating with her constant running and meanness to Jamie. She was exasperating because of how it went on and on and on, I guess without it there'd be no book. The best friend who was such a strong character and champion for her in the previous book was very watered down and non- actively supportive as you expect from female friends. Overall the book just didn't work for me but I gave 3 for effort and for the male narrator's input to the book:( I can't see myself reading anymore in the series yet from the last one I couldn't wait to download this one - maybe it's just my unreasonable expectation and may well be smashing for other people.

Not sure how to rate this book. I wasn't sure if I even liked the characters during the first half of the book. The story follows cocky Manwhore Jamie McCade who has his eye on Tori Rivera , Tori has recently had her heart broken and is in no way interested in men, at all. Jamie, though, will not take no for an answer, and is extremely persistent. Written in dual POV I found that when I read Tori's POV, I disliked Jamie immensely, I didn't like the way she perceived him, and I did not particularly like Tori either. Yet when I read Jamie's POV he did not come across quite as distasteful, but more endearing and cockily cute. I even liked Tori much more from Jamie's POV. As the book progressed so did my love for Jamie. In parts the story seemed to drag a little and not a lot seemed to be happening, I was also wound up by Tori's denial of her feelings, but overall I've got to say it turned out to be an enjoyable, easy read. With Kate Russell and Sebastian York, the narration is perfect.
