About this listen
Tom has one rule: Don't sleep with the crew. A second chance with a younger, gorgeous deckhand tempts him to break it.
After a busy season as a charter-hire skipper, Tom yearns for some downtime. His lonely heart also aches for adventure with someone special, but paying his bills has to come first. A surprise sailing contract and huge bonus offer his first glimpse of freedom for years. There's only one catch: he must crew with Nick, a deckhand who jumped ship once already.
Nick's as young and untested as the new yacht they're contracted to sail, and he's just as gorgeous. Forced to spend a month as Nick's captain, Tom discovers depths he hadn't noticed. He's captivated, and happier sailing with Nick than he's been in forever. However, their voyage is finite, and both men keep soul-deep secrets.
As the contract draws to an end, they must get honest about what's in their hearts if they want to share a life at sea, and love, forever.
Contains mature themes.

A must read
I really loved tbis book. The author has tied in really brilliantly to the previous book. I wasn't sure I'd like it after enjoying the first one so much. However, it was a wonderful storyline and narrated perfectly by Cornell Collins yet again.
(only the tiniest criticism, Cornell's tummy rumbles throughout!! Hahaha...... I have noticed it in other narrations he's done.....that aside, he has a wonderful, captivating voice)

Wonderful
For some reason, when I read the ebook of this I never finished. I never dnf'd. I just put it down and never went back to it. Probably a me thing rather than the books fault. Almost definitely, in fact because this book is glorious. Told entirely from Tom's pov it's a gorgeous tale of a jaded, beaten down by life sea captain, the reappearance of his shiny, useless, young crew hand who he's not managed to get out of his head since he disappeared without warning. It's about seeing the same things through new eyes and looking at them differently, and slowly falling in love.
As it is told only from Tom's pov Nick is somewhat of an enigma, he's keeping secrets, several of them but not for want of trying to confess, Tom just won't listen. One secret is kind of obvious, the other less so but each when revealed shook Tom's image of Nick. It was the only time I got frustrated with the book, yelling at Tom that he never gave Nick the chance to explain. But these moments were fleeting, Tom isn't a stupid man, he just needs time to process and consider.
A lovely final chapter left me in no doubt there is a HEA for these two.
The audio is gorgeous, Cornell Collins doing an excellent job, with both portrayals perfectly pitched.

The author needs a Compass
No idea where this is going. But it goes on and on and I couldn't care less. Even the sex is boring.
Welk narrated.
