A Helpful Guide!

The audiobook is informative on developing social skills and becoming a teen with social skills. It provides helpful tips on developing social skills by selecting tactics to help timid and introverted or shy individuals, which is familiar with young teens. Improving self esteem was well addressed and convesing with others with practical skils that could also help.

Looks and Posture Convey Something

I have a teen who is an expert in non-verbal communication. He literally just grants, nods, slouches, shakes his head and throws his arms most of the time. Fortunately, he loves books, so you bet I found a way to forward this one to him. I hope he paid keen attention to the chapter on non-verbal communication. :-) I particularly like that the chapter is unassuming. It takes it from the basics, which I think fits perfectly with the target audience, and then helps the reader to understand why they shouldn't suppress their emotions, and how to discern specific communication in others. I can't recommend this book enough.

Wish I had this book as a teen

This book really covers so much to help get those teens out there in the social setting. What I really enjoyed was it went into topics that are often overlooked as they simply aren’t discussed….until you read about it here. The author provides a big box of tools that parents and their teens can use for whatever social obstacle they face. There was a few things on today’s modern technology that I just didn’t know about or actually understood, but glad I do now! A bit if an eye opener!
Get your kids to learn about reading people’s body language and non verbal communication, I’m confident it’ll make them much more comfortable talking to new friends or in large groups.

Practical Advice, Easy To Follow

Being an adult it would be easy to forget how difficult your teenage years actually are and navigating your way through them can be difficult. Giving your children the tools to not only manage but thrive in these years should be seen as a priority for parents. Great section on how to deal with the dreaded phone dilema..... we all know that everyone spends too long on their phones these days and this was a very good section outlining ways to deal with this.

A must read for smart teens

As a grandmother who has raised four kids and now has multiple teen grandchildren, I loved this book. It provides good insight into the behavior of teens and what they do, how they behave, and what they endure. There are solid tips on how to handle situations that teens live through every day. It is written in their language and does not dumb down the information which I believe will help any teen reflect on it and take action. Wish I had this book a long time ago! Will make the perfect present for teens and their parents!

“Thinking proceeds . . . “

This book provides in-dept knowledge to help teens become social ninjas. It is easy for me to see how it would be possible for teens instituting these skills to soon find they have the ability to socialize adeptly with anyone. This book would also benefit some adults I know, especially as it relates to the inclusion of certain nuggets like “asking for help is a sign of strength”, and “failure as a means of improvement”. Well done.

Teens Need a Book Like This

Social Skills are crucial to a teen's success in life. Acquiring social skills can get us to desirable places and with desirable people, much faster than rebelling against them or ignoring them. The main areas of social skills are Verbal communication. Nonverbal communication and Social interaction competencies. They increase our ability to advance, the more we are aware of them. I particularly like the area of conflict. It always helps to control my emotions during a conflict when I’m reassured first. When I’m told something like, “I understand where you’re coming from, and vice versa. It can have the effect of immediately bringing calm to a situation, or stepping away to continue resolving the situation later. There is so much to social skills and it doesn’t hurt to revisit them from time to time either. Personally, this book reminds me of the areas in which I can improve my behavior, and I’m an adult. Highly Productive Teens with mad social skills will help teens become better communicators therefore more productive, master their social skills, and master their lives! A well-written book indeed.

Strong Teen Formula!

The teenage years are critical and I found it the most difficult period of a lifetime, there are many hormonal changes and destabilization that could lead to causing sometimes deep harm and negative effects on the teen, and this book delivers really good knowledge on how to manage teens years in the right way and act with wisdom and maturity, I liked the fact that the writer addressed the social anxiety that has become a huge problem nowadays, as a parent, we need to help our teens with the right tools and resources to face the challenges they have and to make them stronger and immuned, and this book is one of the tools that every teen must listen to.

Fantastic resource!

Hands down the best guide for helping teenagers navigate social situations! The author covers a wide range of topics that are often ignored in other resources, so it was really refreshing to read about them here. The tools provided by the author are incredibly useful and can be used to overcome any social obstacle. There were a few things that I didn't know about modern technology that were discussed in the book, but I'm glad I do now! The narration was excellent and made the book an easy and enjoyable listen. One of the key takeaways for me was the importance of teaching teenagers about nonverbal communication and body language, as it can make a huge difference in their confidence when talking to new friends or in large groups. I highly recommend this book to any parent looking to help their teenagers navigate the complexities of social interactions.

I wish I could've had this gem earlier in life

This social skills book 1 of 'Highly Productive Teens' is simply a wonderful listen. Not only that, it is filled with simple-to-follow, effective advice and tips for teens to improve their social skills. I was curious to dive into this listen because I suffered from social anxiety my entire life, and it continue to make unwanted appearances in my life as an adult. I truly wish I'd had this book earlier in life, back when I was struggling immensely from being unable to speak on the phone, ask for help, and approach my peers. The knowledge found within these pages is sure support young people (and adults like myself) to be more self-assured and confident, as well as to develop appropriate and effective ways to communicate.

Worth listening to & learning from multiple times!

I appreciate how this book emphasizes the importance of active listening and acknowledging differences as room for growth. It confronts harmful stigmas that have been ingrained in us, hindering our ability to communicate effectively. I ended up pausing the audiobook to write down its message, “Asking for help is a strength.” I am a work-in-progress, so these tips have been valuable and merit revisiting time and time again.

Foundation for success

Every teenage complication you can imagine this book has some antidote and advice. I really wish I've read this book when I was a teen. I always shy and had a low self-esteem growing up and didn't know how to deal with it let alone getting bullied. This book will give any teen the foundation and a road to their development in life. Narration was also excellent; easy to follow and understand. Great job!

Appreciate these new tools I can add.

This was a helpful read for furthering confidence in peer-pressure situations. I may gift this to a friend that shares some similar struggles to myself. I feel like there haven't been that many books that have helped me with specific peer pressure-like situations and how to navigate those, unlike this one. Great read.

a must read for teens

This book gives detailed explaination into social skills, why it's so important and how to be better at it. These are very common situations in a teen's everyday life, and it's crucially important for those who are having communication issues. Skills are one thing, in some cases what's more important is empathy and respect. This book also dives deep into these area.
