Summary
At eighteen, Poe Blyton’s life is in shambles and the reason is Alaric Marshall.
After her mom’s death, he appeared out of nowhere and became Poe’s controlling guardian. When she protested his tyranny, he had the audacity to send her away to an all-girls reform school. A school full of iron clad rules and regulations.
But at least she’s graduating soon.
Until Alaric himself arrives at the school as the new principal and takes that away from her as well.
That devil.
He’s really asking for it, isn’t he?
And Poe is going to give it to him.
It doesn’t matter that her sworn enemy has the prettiest dark eyes she’s ever seen. Or that he looks really, really good in his boring tweed jackets. So much so that she wants to rip them off his body and see what’s underneath.
Because scorching hot or not, her new principal or not, Poe is going to ruin Alaric’s life.

Intense
This was so emotional, your heart breaks for Po and Alaric both. This was such an intense slow burn, but the chemistry, love and passion between them was so hot.
It was absolutely worth the wait, to see both of their walls come down and let the other in.
This was intense and emotional.

amazing narration. This story really had me in a chokehold. I am addicted to this series and highly enjoyed this 4th book. The book did not feel long and was a great addition to my "will-Read again" library.

Hot!!!!!
I’ve loved Poe in the other books and I was so glad to finally see her story!!! She and Mr. Marshall were tension filled in their taboo glory!! When things finally came together for these two emotional souls it was filled with passion and fire!!!
The narrators did an amazing job!!!! PFP!!!! FLOCKVIP! AUDIOBOOKOBSESSIONS!!!

Alaric & Poe
Teenage rebellion at its finest!
Colt Carter as Alaric and Ri Paige as Poe are brilliant!
Unloved and alone, both Alaric and Poe have so much in common despite their age difference but their disdain towards each other makes sparks fly when they finally get together. They are also incredibly different which, again, makes their chemistry sizzling!!!
Despite the incredible narration, the story felt too long at 20hours and a little childish and cheesy. But, with Poe being only 18, childish is to be expected.

Taboo Perfection!
I loved Poe! I knew her story would be a good one, and boy was I right. I loved her story the most.
She was so interesting to me, and I loved watching her growth and her epiphanies.
Mr. Marshall, whoa is it hot in here or is it just me? (fanning myself) I loved this man so fiercely! He was so troubled and closed off and that kind of toxicity is such a weakness for me! I love watching these types of men fall to their knees for a girl and boy did he not disappoint.
Alaric was so "unloved" yet he was so loveable. His back story brought me to tears. I loved him so much.
These two together though, freaking perfection. I loved the push and pull/taboo/angst. It was everything.
Colt Carter and Ri Paige were phenomenal!

A slow burn that's worth it.
The whole St. Mary's Rebels series has resonated with me and I was so excited for the proper rebel Poe's story. And it was everything I wanted and much more. It's a long one, and it's quite the slow burn even for SaK, but it was worth every angst filled moment. I will never be tired of this world

I have found my all-time favorite hero in this series.
Alaric is my man. 🤤
I've always been a fan of 'nerdy' heroes and that is Mr. Marshall for you.
I mean not completely but for me yes. And that dirty talk. 🥵
I am a goner.
I liked Poe also. A little bit bratty at first but she grew on me.
Overall loved this book so hard and this series is amazing! Can't wait for more!

Roller-coaster of emotion
This book the story of Poe and Alaric is a Rollercoaster of emotion you will laugh and you will cry and their is frustration as well. I absolutely live this series and can't wait to see who's story is next because there is a few set upside in this book and I'm eagerly waiting for the next installment.

This book is good. The storyline really pulled me in. It’s enjoyable however there was something holding me back and I can’t work out what it is. The performance was really good and the storyline was gripping so I’m baffled why it didn’t gel with me.

hooked
I loved this book , after listening to the previous book in the series I was really looking forward to listening to Poe's story , it was everything I imagined, I loved the spark and sass from Poe and the chemistry between her and Alaric, I do feel the book could have been a bit shorter but it didn't stop me from being gripped through whole tike , I highly recommended this series , they're all great and I can't wait to listen to more from this author and the narrators .
