This was the perfect ending for an epic series. Yelena and Sebastian were an unexpected but fascinating couple to listen to their story. From the way they met through all the twists and turns that came after it was one surprise for me after another and I was loving it. This story had betrayal, death, sadness, and really just was not a light story. It is definitely a dark mafia romance. But it was so well written that I was hooked on it.

And what helped that was the incredible narration. Michael Gallagher is a voice that I’m really enjoying the more I hear. But Kat Auden was all new to me. And I was so highly impressed. I loved the accent and the attitude and just the overall performance especially as she portrayed Yelena. I certainly would love to hear more of her in future.

And I have to say that this was a fantastic setup for the spin-off series. That prologue has me excited for what’s to come from this author and the children of these characters I’ve come to love.

What a story to end this series.

The narrators are new to me and wow they blew me away!

Wow! There’s not many audiobooks that I have to re-listen to because I can’t believe what I just heard. I literally paused it and had a wtf moment. Sophie is absolutely brutal with this book. It’s brilliant, the performance from Kay and Michael is amazing.

I love Sebastian and Yelena's story in Heavy Crown. It is as dangerous and intense as the rest of the series. It had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning until the end. All the twists and turns kept me guessing throughout the entire story. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves dark mafia romance. I am also very excited to see that a new series is coming that follows the next generation. I can't wait for the Kingmaker series. Both Michael Gallagher and Kat Auden did an amazing job bringing this story to life.

This series was fast paced and caulked full of wow moments that still has me reeling and left me in wonder how Sophie does it. Yelena is a puppet in a war between her family and Sebastian’s even if she didn’t want to. Afraid to tell Sebastian that she was told to gain his attention for the Bratva she leaves it, and the feelings and passion that grew between her and Sebastian was what leaves her not wishing it to end. Naively thinking her father will accept the love between her and Sebastian she leaves it to fate. That fate was so full of surprises and what the hell moments that it leaves me wishing for more of all these characters who really consumed a part of my life as I listened to this series.

Sebastian was already a favourite of mine, mischievous at the start of the series with his relationship with his family especially with his sister. Then when he loses his future in basketball because of that sister broke my heart and to see him pull through that and still be caring and loving. Then in this final book to see his love for Yelena and wow that ending left me in awe. Amazing writing is what this series was.

Michael was really believable as Sebastian showing a caring person who has accepted his place in his family business. He shows us how strongly he loves his family and how compassionate and caring he is with Yelena. Then to hear him become a fierce opponent and ruthless man out for revenge was awesome.

Kat Auden is a new narrator for me, I really liked her voice as a Russian girl who is naive and hopeful for a real future with Sebastian, she helped me feel her emotional decisions that held her voice when she kept her secrets in her hopes for a life with a man she grew to love.

This series was amazing for anyone who looks for mafia romance and writing that is full of characters that face twists that you won’t see coming and surprises that leaves you wanting the story to never end. Also with strong men who find love in the strangest ways and with women who own their hearts. Is it really over is what it left me saying.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Sebastian was never meant to go into the family business but when you are pushed over your breaking point anything can happen
Beware when you wake the dragon, once out it can never be put back. Didn't see this story coming but what a way to end a series.

I don’t usually like mafia type romances, but I’ve enjoyed this whole series. Just enough hard and rough to the romance to make it the perfect book to scratch my itches. Definitely worth the listen!!!

I’ve loved every minute of this series and up to now Savage Lover has been my favourite because Nero 😍 However I didn’t see Sebastian coming and swaying me over to his side ,it was intense to say the least .I’m so sad this series has ended but wow what a story to end with.

Audiobook review. This was not at all what I was expecting would happen. It’s a testament that sometimes things don’t go according to plan and that your path may not be at all what you’re expecting it to be. It was interesting to witness Sebastian’s growth as he was featured in other books in the series but in his own story we got a better sense of who he was as an individual and how open he was to finding his one. I liked Yelena for a lot of reasons. She was a strong and stubborn woman who still had softness and warmth despite being exposed to some cruel men who abused her trust. She made some mistakes but clung to hope and love in the best way when things got tough.

Sebastian surprised me with how he was with Yelena. Not just when he was sweet but when he was angry and upset as well. They had great chemistry. They seemed to match one another well despite the challenges they had to overcome.

The plot really made some major moves in this book. There were definitely some shocks and some twists that I didn’t see coming. I was consistently at the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen.

Michael Gallagher and Kat Auden did a great job with their narration. Everything from pace to pitch was smooth and flawless.
