Fabulously entertaining story
I enjoyed the characters, the camaraderie, and the story. It was really good listen. The narrators did a great job bringing some realness to the characters. The author did a great job and I look forward to more

Gabe and Penny!
Penny’s IT skills are unparalleled however with each passing year she is beginning to wonder if there is more to life than the way she is living it. She wants to have the confidence to pursue what she wants, and it begins when she win a challenge with her boss and now he must guide her into becoming the woman she wants to be.
Gage may have experience with women but not relationships. He is attracted to her just the way she is but as their pretend dates continue the sparks fly and now they both find themselves re-evaluating what will truly make them happy.
Gage and Penny together were perfection. She wants Gage to teach her everything she needs to know when it comes to men but she ends up teaching him about love and the journey is everything you could want and more. The choice of the narrators were perfect as they brought out both the dominate and sensitive sides of Gage as well as the fun and quirky parts of Penny. 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 A Steamy Delight!
Mari Carr pens another wonderful romance novel set in her “Italian Stallions” series, the second book in the series and it was just as amazing and captivating as the first book “Down and Dirty”. This book stands on its own, though characters from the first book make appearances, but everything you need to know about them in included in the descriptive details so you never feel lost or that you are missing something. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about too. Penny Beaumont is turning 29, and she still has not lost her V card or even had a boyfriend, she has always been on the nerdy side, quirky too, and she lacks experience with dating. She has no problem hanging with the boys, since two of her best friends and coworkers, Rich and Toby, are who she spends time with, not only at work but she games with them too. She has a crush on one of her bosses, Gage Russo, a known womanizer who would never give her the time of day. Or would he? When he joins her and her friends for gaming, she thinks he would be the perfect person to help her with men. She presents him with her idea and he is onboard, agrees to help her, telling himself he is bored and wants the challenge, but we all know he has been watching her and he finds her to be intriguing. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a wonderfully written and plotted story with the perfect balance of drama, charm, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Mari Carr, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Marina Barrett and Oliver Highpoint continue to do an amazing job of bringing these characters and their story to life. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on, they give each character a voice that suits their character’s persona and is believable in every role they play. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers make a great team, they are versatile voice artists and their voices complement each other’s. Thank you for another great listen.

Wonderful dual narration from Marina Barrett and Oliver Highpoint. Soo Perfect.
I fell in love with both Penny and Gage, after becoming friends over games, Penny gets over her initial shyness, the banter between them was fun and sexy. After losing a game and a bet to Penny. Gage most teacher how to change her looks and become a siren in and out of the bed. There was some electrifying chemistry between them. Penny might have been a virgin, but she most definitely wasn’t a shrinking violet when it came to sex. There are some touching moments that will tug at your heartstrings. Brilliant book

Loved book two, I need a Gage in my life. I liked the main characters. The story is so well written. Looking forward to listening to book three. Romantic geek/nerd romance.

A Simple bet knocks him off his feet
Penny is a gamer and enjoys her weekly D&D games with her friends and co workers. Gage Russo is her boss a has joined their weekly game. Gage is also a billionaire with issues when it comes to committing. Penny is so lonely that she makes a bet with Gage to get him to help her get a life by getting g a makeover and getting rid of her virginity. Gage totally falls for the gamer but his issues with his mothers death stands in the way of their happiness. I loved this book and I am enjoying these characters and can’t wait to listen to more.

Love this listen!
Mari Carr had me smiling and easily relating in her new audio release Hard and Fast. Meet Penny. Always the wallflower, the nerd, the braniac, she has never had a boyfriend and is quickly approaching a birthday that makes her want to experience life. That is where Gage comes in. The playboy, noncommittal boss who hangs with the IT crew and loses a bet to Penny. Now he is in charge of her makeover, from hair to skills in bed, he has to make her someone to desire. But will he be able to? Will Penny turn into a siren? Or will he find out she is much more than her realizes. I absolutely love this story. Not only is Penny an easy person to understand, the way Gage makes her see herself is priceless. Carr creates both of these characters with a realistic flair, with obstacles and baggage, I worked my way through it all with them! It's an easy listen, with brotherly banter and a good message. Loved this book!
Marina Barrett and Oliver Highpoint are always fabulous and together they bring this gem alive. Barrett falls into being Penny, a little vulnerable and a lot strong. She lets us feel the changes in Penny as they happen. Highpoint is the perfect Gage. A little arrogant, incredibly warm and he too brings out a different side of Gage that we can feel. A wonderful cast for this fun listen.

Billionaire Romance
Hard and Fast by Mari Carr is a billionaire romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Marina Barrett and Oliver Highpoint. This is the second book in the Italian Stallions series.
I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Penny and Gage. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Rough and Ready to be released on audio so I can get Gio, Rafe and Keeley's story.
Marina and Oliver did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like contemporary romances, billionaire romances, boss romances, or friends-to-lovers romance.
