Summary

The Dublin Nights box set includes the contemporary romantic suspense titles, On the Edge and On the Line.

On the Edge:

From a horse farm in Kentucky to Dublin, Ireland - falling for her hot Irish boss is not part of the plan. Billionaire businessman by day, fighter by night...

Anna is relieved to leave her small hometown behind and get a fresh start with an internship in Dublin. What she doesn't expect is to bump into a strange man in her new apartment on her first night there. A man who, it turns out, also owns the company she's joined.

As Adam and Anna are thrust together more and more, she discovers he's a man with secrets and a dark past - a past that seems to be reaching for her.

Although Anna can sense how dangerous Adam is, she can't seem to resist him. And while he fights his feelings, longing to keep Anna safe, neither of them can see that their only hope for survival is each other.

On the Line:

On the day of Adam and Anna's wedding, she won't be there, and he'll lay everything on the line to get her back.

With the help of former covert operatives, Adam works to track down Anna's last steps to discover what happened to her, never believing her to be a "runaway bride".

But as the truth unravels, and the McGregor family finds themselves under attack - Adam must not only rescue Anna in time but keep his family from danger as well.

Find out what happens in the suspenseful follow-up novella to the international best-selling audiobook, On the Edge. On the Line also features scenes from Holly McGregor's perspective.

Boring and slow

This might be a minority opinion but out of probably the 15 books by this author I have listened to, I enjoyed this one the least.

I was looking forward to getting to know Adam after I was introduced to him in the Stealth Ops series. But I struggled to get through this book and almost gave up when, by Chapter 18, nothing really exciting had happened. The story is really slow and I only kept going in the hope that the other books in the series will be more exciting, but I'm giving up now. I also turned up the listening speed to get through it quicker.

Neither of the main characters had strong identities and I couldn't really feel chemistry, tension and love between the characters and I struggled to connect with them.

Adam is supposed to be a high powered billionaire businessman but the personality of such a person didn't come through. Then he's a fighter but I found it off putting that he did it because he enjoys hitting people, and not because of the challenge and discipline of martial arts or something similar to Asher's motivation in the Stealth Ops series. Fighting doesn't make a man an alpha male, it's other personality traits. His character was average and not very intriguing, and not the alpha male I like in these types of books.

Anna also didn't have a strong identity. She came across as shy and naive at times but the next moment she is joking and teasing the big boss which is somewhat conflicting about her personality. One moment she wants to throw up when she sees Adam fighting but the next she is having sex with him again. If she really had issues, that wouldn't happen. Her character was a bit all over the place and she also came across as immature and melodramatic at times. I had hoped she would be kickass like some of Sahin's other main female characters but sadly, not.

The narrators were OK. Will Watt has such a great regular speaking voice and British accent, and he did an OK Irish accent, but since Adam grew up in a super rich family and would have had a great education and upbringing, one would have expected a more refined upper class Irish accent and not such a rough one.

Worth a credit? Not for me.

VERY ADDICTIVE.. & A WORTHY 5 STAR LISTEN

Right from the very start I got ‘that’ feeling.. you know - the deliciously warm feeling that this was going to be really really good.. and it was all that and more. Firstly, the narration by Kelsey and Will was amazing.. on pointe and amazing.. and Will, your deliciously smooth sexy Irish brogue brought the sexy Billionaire businessman Adam to life.. along with all the other characters too. The story of Anna, the sweet American new Intern, getting instantly drawn to her sexy boss Adam and his alpha charismatic pull was all kinds of delicious. But Adam is blackmailed and pulled back into the dark underworld of illegal fighting once again after managing to get out for five years and is forced to make a heartbreaking decision. So it’s up to Anna to fight to save and keep her man.. but it was going to be a very emotional push n pull rocky road for these two lovers.

Ex Fighter Adam had a lot on his shoulders and doesn’t feel worthy of happiness.. and, when his friend makes another bad decision, Adam is forced to step in and play the hand that Fate has brutally dealt him.. but he’s not a happy man. Five years earlier he left undefeated.. but he chose family over fighting and wears the motto tattooed on his body.. however, when the lives of loved ones are threatened, there’s only one option open to him. Give in, grin and bare it, turn his emotions off and protect Anna by ending their relationship. There are various other wrenches thrown into the mix too and, even before he enters the cage, his future has already been determined.. or has it? because Destiny hasn’t yet joined the party.

This was so freaking addictive as the hours (.. and wee hours) went by in a blur with decisions, dangers, head vs heart dilemmas, drama, angst, suspense, passion, character growth and romance. Most of the sex scenes were stepped over but you really feel the pull and chemistry between Adam and Anna.. and you feel (along with them) the hopelessness as the greedy puppet-master pulls Adam’s strings. Then there’s the kidnapping and the suspense as critical clues are pieced together in a desperate race against time before life is lost. And again I say; the first class dual POV narration made this well-written story flow flawlessly and I listened in awe as Kelsey and Will’s wonderful vocal talents brought it all to life.

Worth a credit? Absolutely yes.. and I’ve already got book 3 locked and loaded ready to play.. so now I’m off back to Dublin’s fair city;)

What An Adventure

This was an amazing portrayal and experience from the author and narrators.

ACCENTED ALPHA!

Adam McGregor is the bad boy billionaire and fighter. He’s the total package.

Anna Drake is the sweet beauty trying to have a new beginning. She’s running from her past and a job in Ireland seems fitting.

It’s a strange meeting for these two but one that seals their fate. It also unleashes dark forces. Everything Adam has worked to protect comes under fire.
****
Adam McGregor refuses to believe his fiancée, Anna Drake, would run out on their wedding day. Their journey was hard but their love was strong. When she vanishes, Adam begins a search that he won’t end until she’s back where she belongs, in his arms.

The narration for this set was not only flawless, but so spot on that I was whisked away. The ease and seamless flow was so very enjoyable. Irish and my love of Kentucky, cheers!

Love these books!!

I love the cover of this book set and is so fitting for Anna and Adam. These two books are about the compelling and passionate love story of Adam McGregor and Anna Drake. I fell in love with Dublin in these books and desperately want to go there to see the sights and be where Adam and Anna were. There is one line in the second book, On The Line, that I absolutely love : " A real man like Adam ALWAYS builds a woman up and NEVER tears her down." It speaks truth for Adam and most of the men in the Dublin Nights series (there are a couple baddies in this series) and all the men in the Stealth Ops series. You will fall in love with the McGregors and hooked on this series as well as the author so go ahead and one click, get on KU, and on Audible. Will and Kelsey do an amazing job at narrating this series and I might have a crush on Will due to his accent. Highly recommend this series and book set!!!!

Wow! What a great story!

Audible narrators review: WOW, just WOW. William M. Watt’s voice is soo HOT! He brings Adam to life. His voice is exactly how I imagined Adam to sound like, gravely, Alpha and strong. Kelsey Navarro was a great choice for Anna. She brings out Anna's shyness and vulnerability.

Book review:
Anna goes to Ireland for an internship. She goes to get away from an abusive relationship in the USA. She meets Adam, a billionaire alpha with a heart. He grabs your attention from the beginning! Their feelings for each other grow as the story is told. It is a slow burn in my opinion. Their chemistry is HOT!

Adam has to go back to fighting in order to save Anna. Anna is afraid of any guy that shows his aggression through fighting. She gave that up when she left the USA. I don't want to give too much away, it is a great story.

I couldn't put this book down! Brittney sure knows how to keep your interest! The characters are well written. Brittney has a way of creating characters that you feel are real. You feel immersed in their world and never want to leave. I can't wait for her next book!

Okay story but Amazing Narration!

The story was just ok for me. On the edge was the overall love story between Adam and Anna and it dragged at times and had me rolling my eyes at both of them on several occasions. On the Line seemed to take place in a one week span of Adam and Anna's wedding; this one was pure action and a lot faster moving. I love Will Watt's accent and I will always listen to one of his books but Kelsey Navarro really shined in this one, I wasn't expecting her voice for Adam to be as good as it was. Wills voice for Adam is what I would picture for Adam the fighter but Kelsey gave Adam a bit more of a sophisticated accent which suited the business mogul side so together they were great.

Not as good as the Stealth Ops

While the books are ok, they aren’t as good as Stealth Ops. But my biggest complaint is the male reader. He’s really terrible. I would recommend this box set in book form.

Great!

I am hooked. I found Brittney through her Stealth Ops series which I love, and decided to go for the Dublin Nights series. It has also drawn me in as well! I cannot wait to start the next book in the series!
