Summary
Book 2 of the next great Fantasy LitRPG Series by Seth Ring, author of Nova Terra. Get your copy today and explore a world whose secrets have been buried under decades of war.
About the Series: Mixing slice-of-life with epic fantasy action, mystery, magic, cultivation, and a broken game system that seems determined to make everything as hard as possible for the already overpowered protagonist, this LitRPG/GameLit series is perfect for those who enjoy exploring rich worlds and complex characters.

Pretty good, needs more farming.
I enjoyed the story however I feel it focused too much on adventuring and exiting the valley the first story benefited for its constrained setting. Of course with action, magic and adventure sprinkled in. Still it's a personal option and I'd say it's ok to good story overall.

Do I really like it? Is it is it wicked...
Germination by @SethRing. This author is a master of his craft. He delivers vivid & fanciful amounts of imagination starting from a mere fire-wielding mage to a full dragon-breath-wielding cultivator. The levelling-up system is more subtle and that is good. 📚5/5🌟#bookreview

Great Second Book in the series!
I really enjoyed the continuation of this series. The story is a good mix of peace, adventure and violence.
The narrator nailed the voices from the first book.
I really enjoyed this story, looking forward to the next one.

Great book
Seamless continuation of the first book. There is a great story here, but I wish the books were longer.

That was a close one
Man out MC really does like to play it close to the best doesn’t he and I mean that in many ways. He may be finally getting a clue about someone’s feelings but man this guy has been at war way to long and reallly does need some peace and quite. Too bad the world has other plans.

Litrpg?
There is nothing that makes this a lit rpg besides the mention of a quest and a blue screen. The farming aspects besides people calling a John a farmer die off after the first couple chapters. the action is ok but uninteresting because you know that at any point he can just stop holding back and end things. The random insert of the Wheel of Time stuff (Wise ones, horses and their riders) is more upsetting than a enjoyable nod. I can't continue to excuse stuff when there is literally only one important person in the world using blue fire magic and skills and no one links the MC and then together. Its all lazy and just adds to the cringe of the romance aspects of this story. I refuse to believe that someone who was 17 when they ended up in that world doesn't understand their own emotions. idc how much he had to "lock" away because if his class, there is some stuff that is just basic. Adding in random stuff to make either of them jealous is just tedious instead of adding to character development

Great story but can be a little frustrating.
A great way of hampering a OP Main Character, Doom points do kind of irritate me every time they're mentioned. Like I understand they're the authors shackles on the MC but we all know they're never gonna reach 100 until exactly when the author wants them too so it falls a bit flat. The biggest problem is the constant updates taking the listener/reader out of the fight with the constant +1 update messages. Also, The -1 doom points for heartwarming parts seems to be gone for this book. In the last book he got regular -1's for living a regular life and getting closer to Elly, But the author seems to have axed that, as in the first part of the book a month and a half go by on the farm with no -1's. I've given up on the doom points as being anything other then a gimmick purely controlled by the authors whims. Other then that I can't think of anything I was upset with so a great read overall. I do wonder if the next book is gonna have Elly get targeted by the big bad and running from someone during the climax as well.

Good story, not great narration
Again, the story is interesting & keeps me coming back. However the narrator is still terrible & lacks depth.

Now it's starting to pick up steam.
We finally get to see more light of a hidden main antagonist(s). The henchmen so far for said antagonist have been interesting. The characters continue to grow. As does the world (still at a slow pace). But the MC (still needs to be read by someone who sounds like Clint Eastwood) continues to progress, while also learning more of his background. His love interest is being developed nicely as well. Without just shoving them into a relationship immediately.
I really enjoy a OP MC anime at times. Just as I always enjoyed them in comics. John's handicap to his OPness is well done (imo). I like how he has to be restrained when dealing with enemies; despite how he could destroy them with ease. But the handicap forces him to find ways around it.
This has been an enjoyable Isekai so far. Not a hardcore LitRPG with endless stats. While he still has a hud to access his info... it doesn't drag down the story with endless repeating of the stats every time 1 little change is made. I know lots of people like that stuff. I'm not one of them.
Going to grab the next book now. I am pleased with this series. Book 2 proved to be much better than 1. Just wish the books were longer. Which is a plus, because it means I don't want the story to end. It is proving to be immersive.

Excellent continuation
I still struggle with the female characterizations. I get that it’s more expensive but having a gravelly voiced man voice women just makes every woman sound like she’s a two pack a day smoker. That, however, is a minor complaint that barely impacted the story for me. Otherwise well worth the credit.

Great series continuation
Seth Ring takes a swing and hits a double. Book 2 is forward-pacing, consistent and steady, additional reveals on characters backstories as well as primary antagonist along with a sad loss of a likable protagonist. Of course, there is some outlandish events; especially with regards to the rooster but, hey, that was fairly much to be expected.
Michael Kramer performance continues to bring a excellent listening experience.
