Summary

The New York Times best-selling security droid with a heart (though it wouldn't admit it!) is back in Fugitive Telemetry!

Having captured the hearts of audiences across the globe (Annalee Newitz says it's "one of the most humane portraits of a nonhuman I've ever read"), Murderbot has also established Martha Wells as one of the great SF writers of today.

No, I didn't kill the dead human. If I had, I wouldn't dump the body in the station mall.

When Murderbot discovers a dead body on Preservation Station, it knows it is going to have to assist station security to determine who the body is (was), how they were killed (that should be relatively straightforward, at least), and why (because apparently that matters to a lot of people - who knew?).

Yes, the unthinkable is about to happen: Murderbot must voluntarily speak to humans!

Again!

Not book 6, but still great.

This book should be described as 4.5 as it seems to take place before the events of book 5. That was a little disappointing when I'd been excitedly awaiting a continuation of the story after book 5, involving ART and Sec Unit 3.
Other than that, the book is great, a really fun story. A little predicable, but the ‘who did it’ stories always are. Once again Kevin R. Free does an amazing job Narrating.

This is book 4.5

Absolutely loved this series although chronologically this is book 4.5 and would have been better to be read as such.
I was a bit confused by the timeline when I started the final book.
This was probably made worse because I paused after reading this book to start a new series and take advantage of the 2 for 1 sale.

Good but too short

The story was interesting but too short, more like the first few free books.
Did not feel it was worth a credit but that is the main reason, the length.
Also the story does not continue with the mission ART talked about. This is more filler and character growth.

Not book 6 more like 4.5

This is a stand alone story set before Network effect. I was hoping to get a continuation to the main story arc.I was disappointed to find that it was set before the events and evolution of Murderbot in Network effect. Story is kind of bland compared to what we have been accustomed to.

Unless you have lots of credits, hold of on this one. It brings no character development or continuation to main story. It is still enjoyable and narration is great, but not at full price.

Murderbot is a Mood

Another brilliant installment in the murderbot diaries. Murderbot continues to protest that it cares nothing for humans and is a heartless robo-human construct. Luckily for it's human friends it actually cares deeply. It just doesn't understand why humans need all this stuff like 'hugging' and 'eye-contact'.

Same, murderbot. Same.

A brilliantly imagined and written novel

Instantly hooked by the witty and inventive writing, perfect performance by narrator. Cannot wait to start the next one

Another great story

Well done Kevin. Brings our favourite SecUnit to life.
A gripping tale and also dryly humorous. Couldn’t be better.

Compelling story

Great story, lots of intrigue. I’ve fully fallen into this world, and want more. Looking forward to more murderbot diaries.

loved it

Can relisten to this all the time. The main character is realistic for someone with both anxiety and low level depression, ptsd.
