About this listen
The seventh novel in the international number one best-selling Mercy Thompson series - the major urban fantasy hit of the decade.
Mercy Thompson: Mechanic, Shapeshifter, Fighter.
Mercy Thompson's life has undergone a seismic change. Since becoming the mate of Alpha werewolf Adam and stepmother to his daughter Jesse, her life finally seems to be calming down. But after an accident in bumper-to-bumper traffic, Mercy suddenly can't reach Adam or the rest of the pack. All she knows is that Adam is angry and in pain.
With the werewolves fighting a political battle to gain acceptance from the public, Mercy fears Adam's disappearance may be related - and that the pack is in serious danger. Outclassed and on her own, Mercy may be forced to seek assistance from any ally she can get, no matter how unlikely.

Read Fair Game before this one
I enjoy the adventures of Mercy, Adam and everyone else she pulls along for the ride, and this book was no different. However, the plot is not the strongest of the series, and there is no character development to speak of. Please note that "Fair Game" should be read before as a lot of what happens in that book is reflected on this one. I love that Asil made an appearance on this series, and the narration by Lorelei King is as flawless as ever.

Wrong order
Love these books. Read them and am now listening. There is a glitch in this one where the story is read in the wrong order in the last chapter. It bounces about weirdly until you realise what happened.
